For the last eight years, Visa has been the official card of the NFL. And it recently agreed to sign up for another six-year hitch, thereby obtaining the rights to use the NFL shield, the Super Bowl trademark, and other league insignia in its advertising and promotional efforts.
But the new contract, unlike the old one, is not exclusive, thereby allowing the 32 teams to negotiate separate credit-card deals.
