Healthy scratch? Maybe they don't want him to get hurt and mess up a trade? Anything is possible at this itme.

DeVante thinks he was healthy enough to play

DeVante Parker (finger) believes he was healthy enough to play Week 2 against the Jets.

Parker was a surprise inactive after getting in full practices Thursday and Friday. Asked if he was okay with being inactive, Parker responded, "Of course not." Miami's offense has not been great, but they are 2-0 and already have four receivers commanding targets. Even if Parker is active next week, it is not a given he will have a role. Perhaps he gets traded in the coming weeks a la Jay Ajayi last season.

They may have just set up an entire game plan anticipating he wouldn’t be available. Now knowing that he should be good to go for the Oakland game, he’ll be included in a limited capacity. Speculation on my part, to be sure, but knowing Amendola’s health history, I don’t see the Dolphins trading Parker. They may just hang on to him for depth purposes only. Again, just speculation.

I don't think so. I just think it says more about our WR depth than anything. Why rush him back against a very physical team? Now we have the "luxury" of not having players play at 70-80%. Let em fully heal.

This is where we find out for sure what Parker is made of. Will he sour and stop competing or will he work his ass off and prove he belongs as the number one. I love that gase is making him earn the reps

“Already have 4 receivers commanding targets”?

Well now we have 5 receivers commanding targets. I’m guessing they gameplanned to not have him in the game and then he’s healthy all the sudden. Let him ball out vs Oakland.

I hope they get rid of him. I don't want him coming back and ruining the chemistry of this team.

He needs to be active gamedays if Gesicki isn't showing as only Marino would get away with throwing to smurfs on a regular basis.

There's so much this offense can do with Grant now that he's not dropping everything, I'm a Parker fan but it seems like he's in the way honestly

I don't see them resigning Parker regardless, so if they can get a mid-round pick for him now, might as well. That being said, it would be nice to add some size to the offense this year.

Agreed. This seems more likely than a trade
