If we do sign Collins, which pick will contribute more for our squad in their rookie season- Parker or Collins?

I say Collins because he will open holes for Miller from day one; it'll takes longer for WRs to adjust to the playbook (maybe not with Parker though) on the field.

Think some of you are getting a bit ahead of yourselves. Collins is currently in Dallas, meeting with the Cowboys, and will probably make his rounds to most, if not all, 32 teams. Guy got screwed, he should take his time now, but he wants to play T and I don't think our coaches are willing to move James our Albert to make that happen.

Remember I posted IF he signs with us.

IF he signs, I would say Collins will have a bigger impact this year. Without good Guard play, Parker won't have as good of a year because Tannehill can't have as good of a year.

Your right.....however....Albert's contract is only guaranteed thru this season.....after this year its feasible to move on from his 10 million+/year contract....he is getting into his 30's and this team would be wise to think ahead.

Collins plays guard for a year and backs up Albert at left tackle....very conceivable with the need to Sign Tannehill long term......and Suh's contract....that La'el Collins is your left tackle in 2016.

first thing we need to also think about and ask ourselves before even signing this 1-2 round ability is... do you think he can project to be a LT in the NFL. Yeah we want to replace Albert when that time comes... Collins could be a great get for that. But is he our best fit?

definitely wouldnt be bad signing him and all and bringing him in anyways. but money wise is an issue to think on as well.

Pretty much this. ^^^ With Albert's injury issues I don't think he'll make it through the year

Well we would take a pretty big 5 million dollar cap hit but we probably wont have a lot of cap space next year so u never know

People are pretty quick to move on from one of the best left tackles in the NFL so they can get a rookie -.-

Dallas would probably be a smart choice because he can play RT for them and probably excel due to how good their line already is.

I like the idea of signing Collins but moving on from Albert already would just be another bad free agent signing.
