When are we going to unleash this guy? I mean he's healthy enough to play in games. I get bringing him on slowly, but I hope the coaching staff doesn't treat him in the game the way they did with Dion Jordan and rarely let him play.

I'm ready to force feed this guy and see what he can handle like the way Eli was targeting OBJ 10-12 times a game last year. I don't care if it's 5 yard slants or 50 yard vertical routes, I just want to see if this guy is our missing impact piece on offense (besides Landry). Deep down I know the coaching staff won't do this as they'll just tell Thill to focus on throwing 5 yard curls to Stills lol

After the coaching staff realizes he has massive potential, but they don't like to play their rookies too much.

stupid staff.

For them to win they have to be almost perfect, they have no room for error.

They cannot afford mistakes & turnovers.

He missed most of training camp and he looked a little shaky in that preseason game. The first ball thrown his way should have been intercepted in that game.

He got some real game snaps. If he was open and Ryan had time he would have gotten more catches.

They aren't going to have a lot of time for deep passes. If a corner manhandles him or jumps his route we are in trouble.

We are in trouble any way...

Looks like we're easing him into it. He had a pretty severe injury that can cause complications if you're not careful.

I would like to think they have planned on releasing him on an unprepared bills defense but I'm not sure our coaching staff is that competent.

Haven't you watched him in preseason and limited snaps? The guy looks like he's running in sand. Slow feet. Lumbering. No separation. No YAC.

Very disappointing. The knock on him coming out was lack of suddenness, lack of WR quickness. Well, it's worse than advertised. He was supposed to make up for it with route running and body control/physicality -- not so much.

He should be in for all red zone snaps (jump balls) over Greg Jennings or Stills.

Can he do worse then Jennings dropping a wide open pass to kill a drive?

He will never separate enough and I think he is a slow learner by the looks of things. Landry, Matthews and Cameron are the go to guys for RT.

Every wr has drops.

anyone who would start him over Jennings must be on the Bills coaching staff. :err: :chuckle:

There 2 things about this I have have to say:
When we drafted him instead of either a linebacker or offensive lineman, we waved goodbye to 2015. I'm not saying that it was a horrible decision, either. Parker could be a player worth wasting a year over. He could be a transformative talent that can put Miami's offense on his back for half a decade or more. He could be a more talented player than anyone available in next year's draft. He might've been worth the price we paid, which I started with. We threw the 2015 season in the trash. We wasted one of Suh's prime years. We wasted one of Tannehill's prime years. We wasted the last year we had Lamar Miller under a good contract. Shall I continue.

The positive way to spin this, is that we probably would've reached, badly, for a 'need' player had we not drafted him. So, in all likelihood, we would've wasted all that I outlined above, and wasted following seasons too. At least we have a true #1 WR in training now, so that by 2016, he'll be totally ready to dominate the division and possibly more.

Ridiculous.

Knocking the guy coming off of foot surgery in calling him "lumbering" and not realizing he missed all of training camp to use a trite argument that he's a slow learner . . . :bobdole:

Parker's separation issues in college had to do more with his route running in that he had extra footwork in & out of his breaks/cuts. That is something that can easily be coached and fixed over time, especially under the veteran presence and knowledge of a guy like Jennings.

Parker will be a very good WR for us.

Speaking of analysis on rookie WR's: How's that overrated Cooper looking so far this season, Hayden? ;)

i think the staff is holding him back at this point because he is a rookie. I mean it cant go unmentioned he missed camp. Thats a big deal for any rookie, let alone a receiver. But at this point, if hes healthy he should be getting more snaps. Let him learn in game. Problem is he is probably going to be 3rd in the progressions this year. RT usually has it out by then to jarvis or cameron/matthews. He has looked a little slowish. But I cant tell how much of that is him coming off the injury, or maybe hes just slow. He is a pretty big receiver, hes not going to shake your ankles with quick twitch explosiveness like jarvis.

Bottom line, I want to see him more and start getting a few targets fed to him. Give him a bulk of Jennings snaps. A healthy Jennings later this season could come in handy.

Cooper has been okay still not blown away. I also saw him get his head smashed against his own helmet in which I think he should have sued Pacman Jones. Gross display.
