The 1-2 punch of running backs Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown may have added an uppercut. Rookie Jalen Parmele, a sixth-round pick out of Toledo, is separating himself from the pack of back-ups. Parmele hits the hole quickly and has the power to pick up the tough yards inside. He also has enough burst to bounce runs to the sideline. Parmele, not to be confused with former Dolphins Bernie Parmalee, should be fun to watch during the exhibition season.

Parmele looks real good. He had several nice runs and he broke this sweep play up the sideline. no one got a hand on him. I bet he gets tons of PT during the preseason games coming up.

1, 2, 3 backs, your OUT! from the AFC East Cellar. Parmele is looking like nice RedZone threat. He just needs to prove he has hands and he might go a long way on this team.

I was battered endlessly before the draft because of my firm belief that we were in need of another back. I heard time and time again that we had so much depth at the running back position there was no way we would draft a back. Well guess what folks we drafted two of them.

I am now overly pleased at the depth at running back and I am ecstatic over the good things I have been reading about Parmele. In fact after Ricky is gone Jalen and Ronnie are going to be an excellent tandem of power and speed for the future.

You can never have too much depth at running back. It's a position that gets a lot of injuries. From what I'm hearing this is turning out to be an outstanding draft. I know it's still to early to tell, but it's looking good.

Hitting a sweep to the outside without being touched means one thing:

BLOCKING

Not to take anything away from Parmele as I've loved him from the moment we drafted him and I took a harder look at him (whereas I took a harder look at Hilliard and decided he's probably not going to make it), but when you're bouncing those runs to the outside like that and not even being touched it means our meat grinder is in full gear keeping bodies all tied up.

Great news and a great pic. With all the WR and QB development, I sort of forgot we have a couple of young talented RBs trying to earn a spot.

Let's face it, Ricky probably will only play two or three more years. Maybe even one with the Dolphins if they do not extend him after the year. Parmele will become a nice back and second option for this team. Preparing for the future!

Just wish Hilliard was doing a little better.

His father served honorably with this team. A little respect should be in order. There were Dolphins before Zach and Jason.

If the son has half the guts his dad did...He'll be ok.

His dad came off a laoding dock lumping freight to play for us. Somthign tells me the kid understands football.

when i saw the highlights of Parmalee, the first real thought I had was, "I see a lot of Ronnie Brown in him..."

Hilliard I called from the git go. I do not understand that pick at all.

It sucks when you're right though, and, you're right about Parmalee.
