Pasquarelli says:New QB either way next year

I think we'll draft and pick up a veteran to hold the fort in the meantime. Hopefully there'll be a Chris Simms type hanging around later this year.

Clumped, the reason they drafted Henson was to trade him for a better pick. It's clear that his baseball days are numbered and his value, when commited to football solely increases expotentially. That said, whilst he would be an excellent investment, what you HAVE to remember is that Henson only started 7 games in his entire Michigan career. OK, so he looked all world, but 7 games is 7 games.

As for college passers in the draft, Manning is much more laid back and not nearly as much of a scholar of the game as Peyton. He also has a major flaw, which is his inability to connect consistently on the deep ball. He really struggles throwing long down the field as his passes tend to hang in the air and flutter an awful lot. The other 1st round certainty at QB is Miami of Ohio's Ben Roethlisberger who is big, strong, fantastically mobile and has a cannon for an arm. He's another in a long line of MAC passers who will go high in round 1. Of the second tier, you're looking at Andrew Walter who may come out and will probably sneak into 1; Cody Pickett who is likely a 2nd rounder, having been hurt by the overall lack of talent around him with the Huskies; JP Losman of Tulane has 1st round talent and a great attitude that scouts like, whilst the juniors David Greene and Kyle Orton especially merit high round potential. Both are likely to stay, with Orton becoming a high 1st rounder in 2005.

I understand that BUT drafted players must fit into the rookie cap and the Texans do not have much 2003 rookie cap left. Also, he must sign a contract with Houston before he can be traded.
