DAVIE, Fla. — Let me start by apologizing to running back Reggie Bush.

About a week ago I poked fun at Mr. Bush, the Miami Dolphins' big offseason acquisition from New Orleans, for saying the Dolphins run a spread offense, something like a West Coast-style offense.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano dismissed that allegation with extreme prejudice, so I jumped on Bush. But Bush was much closer to being right than Sparano.

I will be rewatching the game later to see if the Fins gave up any sacks. Miami was bad last night run blocking, but I want to see how they did at pass protection, critical to block for your QB if Fins are becoming a passing team.

Not sure what the point is. At least if we run the ball, in our usual 3 yards and a cloud of dust, it gives the defense a rest. In this new pass-unhappy offense, Henne will turn the ball over so quickly that our D will be winded by the 2nd quarter.

welcome to the RED Zone.

they did drop back in the 3 -4 wr several times - did take a few shots down the field. the D still had 8 men in the box often.
