Don't know if this was posted anywhere else, but with all the talk about how badly Miami needs another pass rusher and most mocks have the Fins taking a pass rusher with either their first or second pick, does anyone else think it is a smokescreen? I know I am in the minority when I say that I think we have more pressing needs, and I just don't see Sparano tipping his hand so much. It just seems there are too many articles all saying the same thing. Could it be a smokescree?

after what i saw last year. we need another pass rush/olb bad!!!! i know it, you know it, we all know it!

I don't think it's a smokescreen at all. Pass rusher is glaring need; a serious sore spot on our defense.

no smokescreen at all... the whole world knows we'll draft a pass rusher on first day.

If you consider not drafting an OLB in round one and "surprise" people with a CB selection or a WR, then you can call that a smokescreen... but the second round is coming and it's written on our forehead that we're going OLB anyways

it's a pretty glaring need, however perhaps instead of trying to fix it with the 25th pick maybe they're targeting it with one of the 2's and want a player such as connor barwin, paul kruger, or michael johnson. I know they said Cam Wake is going to get the first opportunity to get to the qb so maybe they don't feel they need to address it at 25, mind you we have young guys such as erik walden who may get a chance too

i know getting a pass rushing OLB or 2 is definitely a need,we won't fix it,but we'll address it with one of our first 3 picks i believe...Porter damn sure can't be our only pass rushing threat,we do need more...

Really, this team is coming together, and there really isn't a more pressing need than getting a better pass rusher.

Here is what we need that is pressing:

A verastile ILB
A big time WR
A young NT to groom
A young stud CB
A pass rusher or 2.

Outside of Raji, who will be long gone . . . NT can be had later with a guy the front office likes.

Same to be said for ILB, Curry is a top 5 lock and I like Rey, but him and Crowder both are average in coverage. Maybe Cushing, but both him and Rey will more than likely be gone by the time we pick. Lauranitis is not a 3-4 ILB, he needs to man the middle of a 4-3. We can probably get away with Ayodele/Crowder this season, but I wouldn't mind a Frantz Joseph later on.

WR is tricky, I just don't know if one of these guys in the late first round is what we really need. Yea I would love Anquan, but would Nicks/Bey be better for us over Butler/Davis. Crabtree would be a no brainer, but the other guys just don't wow me, I rather get a veteran guy, hell maybe Wilford wakes up . . . . and let these young guys develop. Fact is this team has 4 WR's that we like . . . and all 4 are young as hell. We need a veteran in the mix.

CB definitely is the only other PRESSING need, that we need to address early, so u got to figure either u get the guy u want at CB and settle for a guy later on . . . or vice versa. It is like pick your poison.

1. Darius Butler/Vontae Davis/Alphonso Smith
2. Paul Kruger

1. Michael Johnson/Larry English/Clint Sintim/Clay Matthews
2. Byrd

Me, i agree that I rather get the CB, because we need to get a stud guy in there that is young. One of those pass rushers may drop.

Either way I think we take the BPA at a position of need. Hell maybe the FO thinks Ron Brace is the man . . . who knows. It is all speculation right now.
