Pat Devlin on ESPN's Sport Science................

Apparently I'm in the minority here because I really like the kid. Quick release, very accurate, smart, good decision making. It will take some time for him to get used to playing under center but there is a lot of potential there.

I'm a Penn. State fan and I would have liked to seen him stay for his SR. year. The times I did see him play for Penn State he always looked good to me. Cool under fire and always on the mark. I'm going to be keeping an eye on this kid during camp.

Its worth a shot for sure, I would have been fine with spending a lower draft pick on him........so to get him for nothing is good.

Nice, hopefully he can lock down the #3 QB spot this year, and progress from there.

You are not in the minority, it is just that some people lack the will to speak-out against the majority.

It is a low risk signing with high reward and depth. I fail to see the issue since every other QB on the roster makes more money and has just as many or more shortcomings.

The guy fits this regimes fondest wishes and dreams: very accurate, very little arm strength.

Fact of the matter is he is a project and cost us nothing. The only thing this effects is Tyler Thigpen coming back.

Personally, i have no problem with it. Gives Daboll someone to tinker with until the next coaching staff comes in. Heck, if we end up with Gruden or someone else of the West Coast offense, he could be interesting.

I happy with this pick up. I knew a little about him before the draft and was really open to using a late draft pick on him. Getting him as a UDFA is even better! I think he is definitely worth it and I am hoping will end up being a STEAL for us. Only time will tell but I have a good feeling about this guy.

Exactly, it's very apparent that at the very least, this kid has a very good shot of being a very good backup to pretty good starter, and if he is able to grow and get better physically as well as mentally, the sky could be the limit for him. I know it's very rare to see another situation like Brady, or Romo anytime soon, but you never know.

At the moment I am expecting nothing more then a kid that is more then talented enough to take the #3 position, from there I will cross my fingers and hope.

I'm from Delaware and I've gone to several games at U of D, and I can tell you first hand I'm excited about this signing.

Ditto. Looks like Pennington.
