I know fin fans know who Pat Jones is so I'll spare the history lesson. Today on a sports radio station here in Oklahoma Jones says that the word he is getting from Miami is that Chan will be the head coach and that Mike Shula will be hired as the OC or Quarterback coach. Take it for what it's worth but a former Dolphin coach might have some insight on what is going down there. Also no link sense it was said on a radio station. I truly think that Chan will be the coach until BILL COWHER is ready to come back in about 2 years.

Why would Chan hold the reins for two years, when he is already a head coach at a fairly high level college school. I'm sure he is in it for the long haul if he is leaving that job.

No thanks to Shula as OC, we have Garrett for OC.
I don't see us passing over Garrett who is already being considered for OC positions and widely held as a great football mind in the making.

If we hire Shula for that spot teamed with Gailey were in for a long ride.

Why Is EVERYONE HIGH ON GARRETT

What as Garrett done for us lately. NONE of our recent quarterbacks or offensive strategies which he is a part of have set the league on fire.

So what if he is being considered by Cleveland, anybody is probably an upgrade to what they have had in the last 7 years.

I say we overhaul the offensive game plan completely by getting rid of Mullarkey and Garrett.

Hire the best offensive coordinator AVAILABLE then find a new QB coach.

Garrett is the best OC available.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing...why are some of these guys so on Garrett's sack??? What have the QBs played like since he's been the QB coach???

I dont get it...

This sounds farfetched as Cameron has been contacted for a 2nd interview...and Scottenheimer's fate is still being contemplated...

Because he's already got a couple HC's out there who think he'll be a head coach. He's only been a coach for what...2 years now and multiple teams have inquired about bringing him over as their OC (Linehan tried for St Louis, Cleveland came calling, Saban tried to take him as OC to Alabama).

He's got the 'it' factor so people won't really know until he's put in a position that gets notice.
