Pat Kirwan Mock draft 6.0

I cant explain how tired i am of people saying "Look at Pacells history, he will never draft a WR in the first round"..... Just because he hasnt done it before doesnt mean he wont... doesnt mean he will either.. i'm just tired of everybody knowing Bill Parcells so well that they know what he's guna do. If they see WR as our biggest need, and a WR is the best player available according to how they rank the players, THEY WILL TAKE HIM!
So for arguments sake... Say Crabtree is still available, and the best available pass rusher is Clint Sintim... Parcells would take Sintim over Crabtree?? Answer: No, Miami takes a WR in the first round.

Those who ignore the past are foolish, and the best predictor of the future with teams draft is by looking at their drafting history...

Although by another set of events, we might never be able to clearly predict, much less @25, who we will take:
Player depth by position is different
Our scouting staff is different from those that Parcells had when he was HCoach in other drafts
Our team needs are different every year
Who will be available when we pick, and their depth on the our board
And even our owner, if he had any say (Ross is no JJones), is different

This is what makes it so much fun ...and the process so unpredictable, and after the draft, we start learning in which direction this team is going, and what kind of football will be played by them...

Nicks and Brace would be a nice start to the draft, but I'm not so sure we can afford to ignore the CB situation until pick #56.

i personally think Hicks will be there at our 1st 2nd round or we could trade up a few spots to get him with IMO

I'd rather take Kevin Barnes and/or Bradley Fletcher a bit later than force a high pick on a CB. Too many needs to fill to do that.

With the order he has, I'd love the draft to go

1. Hakeem Nicks
2a. Darius Butler
2b. Clint Sintim

Would be a dream come true kind of draft. Does anyone else have this gut feeling Miami is going to wait on OLB/DE Hybrid til our 2nd 2 round pick? Think about it, there is a ton of OLB/DE hybrid players in this draft, I honestly am starting to think that at least one of them could fall to us with our 2b pick in the 2nd round. Look at all the players that could be around at pick 25 (Cushing, Matthews, Sintim, English, Ayers, Barwin, Maybin, Johnson). Remember last year no one thought Henne and Brohm would last that long and they did. I dont know, to me OLB isn't a huge need compared to WR and CB an d I think you role the dice and hope one of those 3-4 OLB falls to us late in the 2nd if not you call always either trade up to grab one or even trade down to pickup more draft picks if someone doesn't fall.
