Saw this on nfl.com and thought it was an amusing read...

Personally, I'd probably rank us a couple of positions higher, I'm not crazy about Matt Hassleback for example and would rather have Pennington over him, but it's just my opinion...

14.
13.1
Comment: Pennington doesn't excite the average fan but he is accurate, rarely makes mistakes and led the Dolphins to a division title last year. Henne is a fast-rising star and White brings a special dimension to the Wildcat.

What's humorous was when this article first came out, it used to say that the Patriots made the playoffs, instead of:

"The answer could be the difference between, well, New England (11-5 record, nearly making the playoffs) and Houston."

In other words, I would take his ratings with a grain of salt. He didn't even know that the Patriots missed the playoffs last year.

Brady as a single entity is a greater QB but if we're talking about groups here how can the Patsies be ranked so high when the absolutely have no depth at that position.

Because you can plug anybody in to that offense and get a good QB. Hell, with that offense I could probably manage 10 wins at least... Plus Bill Belichick is the greatest coach of all time, spygate or not. We've seen it over and over, he can replace players in the blink of an eye. As much as I hate the guy, you have to give him some props.

Correction, Don Shula is the best ever. Bill Parcels is second and Belichick is Third in my book.

What is Pat Kirwan's backround? Did he play football or is he a writer and radio announcer who just sounds like he knows a lot.
BTW we are better placed in QB than most other teams. If Pennington has a major injury - we are covered with a good backup. Our AFC East competitors are all in trouble if their QB goes down.

Wow, really. I seriously hadn't noticed that. Thanks Pat for the great news.

Really so we have proof that Henne is better than Clemans. I do agree that NE may be in big trouble if thier starter goes down but Henne is just as unproven as many of the others. I have confidence he will be good but thats my opinion.

How the hell is Parcells the second best coach ever. Hell Belicheks's credentials are quite a ways above Parcells.

Henne hasn't proved anything. I think Bollinger would play better than Henne out the gate having real game experience. Besides that the Jets defense should be the best in the division which means he just has to play smart and their d will kepp thm in games. Think the jets d is being seriusoly over looked here!

I agree that the Jets d will be pretty damn good.

I'm sorry but I'm not buying it that Andrew Walter (Raiders outcast) or Brain Hoyer (undrafted free agent) could step in if Brady was injured and run the team effectively. Matt Cassel was a different situation last year because he had been with the Patsies for 4 years, had worked with OC Josh McDamniels and knew their system. Walter and Hoyer were both acquired this past off season and have no such experience. I will never argue that Biicheat isn't a great coach but you're giving him too much credit here.

I am so thankful this guy has nothing to do w/ our team anymore.
