Not a bad idea at all. I would be happy.

If we go defense with the first pick for some reason, I like this kid. I heard a interview with Romey that he did, and the kid sounds real grounded, and has been proving himself to others his whole life.

I would only be happy with this pick if Cameron and Capers are convinced he can man down the NT position. Otherwise, it would seem a poor use of such a high pick.

A defensive front three of R. Wright, Okoye, and Roth would finally get us on the correct side of the age problem.

And also give us some beasts that we need. I think the draft is so laden with good, quality Offensive positions that we can afford to cement our front 7 with Okoye and fill areas of need on O later in the draft.

I don't know, not to crazy about Okoye. If we go defense I'd much rather take the top DB on the board. I think our front 7 is pretty set for awhile. Lets see what we have in Wright, Evans, Wright, Vickerson, Fifita, etc.... before we use such a valuable pick on another young'n.

Okoye is the "sexy" pick du jour. I'm really hoping we go offense at #9, though.
