Why the heck is he not pitching the ball? I saw 2 option plays where White kept the ball and took a loss, if he would have pitched it to Williams, he had nothing but green grass in fron of him. WTH?

i think the better question is....why are you running the option now? maybe henning shoudl stick to one offense and let you guys get the work in on it. if henne is your future qb....give the kid the damn ball. how many different players took snaps yesterday? 4?

That's kind of our bread and butter now. It hasn't been working the last few weeks, but if we would have won everybody would be praising it (like in the Jet's first game).

The thing about it is that Chad comes in not until 3rd down sometimes, and remains cool as a cucumber. That is amazing. I think the staff knows that he is pretty calm and able to handle the pressure, and they can have different people take the snap and then ask Chad to go in there and make a play and usually he does.

Keep the D's guessing.

White did an excellent job of running it yesterday except for one shotgun option play where he kept it instead of handing it off where the blocking was going. the big play was the 33 yard run where he kept it himself they bit on ricky. then we came back that same drive and pitched it to ricky for a 15 yard TD. a few other plays White smartly kept it instead of trying to pitch the ball and fumbling. he ran it as well as you can but the option is easy to defend in the NFL thats why nobody runs it.

the better question is why did we let white throw out of the shotgun without any type of play action. if the defense doesnt think we are gonna run it, dont let white throw. Henne is the better QB right now, unless its a PA play dont throw with white at this point

Scratch the spread. We need to go with our base offense (win or lose) and work with it ONLY to increase it's efficeincy. Our QB (Henne) and receivers would not lose timing by going in and out.

You need to understand the option. On the 3 plays he made the correct decision, 2 times keeping it and 1 time pitching it.

White should never enter the game.

White was a stupid pick up in the first place. He's a waste of salary cap. Cut him along with Ginn and those lumps we call TEs.

we really need to work in some reverses on the white option and wildcat plays.

When you have pathetic WR's you need to run gimmicks.

No thanks. Get our playmakers on the field. We run the Wildcat/Spread to get our RB's on the field. With the WR's we have, we'd probably be better off to never, ever run a base offense

They are finally starting to realize that the wildcat will not be 100% effective until we start throwing out of it. And I'm not talking Ronnie lobbing a pass to the TE at the goal-line. I'm talking someone being able to take a step back after faking the run and throw it down the field. Problem is, not only do we not have the WR's to throw to, but White over-throws everyone. So until he becomes a reliable threat to throw somewhat accurately down the field, the coaches won't trust it and teams won't respect it.

White should enter the game more often. I liked his game yesterday. I think we should of went with Sintim or Barwin where we drafted him, but we didn't so we must get over it. But yea, I liked what White did. Anything to keep from throwing to our pathetic WR's. Maybe we can activate Thigpen for one of those pathetic WR's, then we can run the "ThigPat", or the "White Tyler", putting both Qb's on the field at once, giving us even more options than throwing to previously mentioned pathetic WR's

It wasn't a reverse it was a lateral to Henne. He was going to throw deep, unfortunately we don't run a route on that side of the field so the corner crashed down and blew up the play.

WAY too risky to be running that option all the time. Did you see Ricky bobble that pitch on his long run? Let Henne drill these receivers until we figure out which ones to scrap. Ginn has to be in there, and you have to send him deep AND you have to throw it to him once every series or two to keep a safety off R&R.
