I just realized something...

I think that most of you on this board are satisfied with Pat White..

Before the draft, I read a couple of comments that some wanted Vick in Miami....And now, it seems like Vick never existed..

My question is : Do you believe Pat White can be the next Mike Vick minus the dog fighting?

He will be much better than Vick.
 
Actually, I remember someone wanted to pick up Vick as a backup QB for WHite in the wildcat offense. So don't speak too soon on how crazy people are on this board.

I can't understand why somebody would want such a piece of scum on this team to begin with?
 
He doesnt have Vicks speed, but I'd give him the edge in elusiveness and definately a better passer on the move.

Why can't he be better than Vick? I am not saying he definatly can be, but at least give him a chance, because they are Very comparable. I can't wait until I see the kid play. He will be the most exciting player that we've had in a while...

Anything is possible but at this point we know what Vick did in the NFL and to even suggest that he will be much better than Vick at thispoint is silly to me. Vick was faster and much more muscular to handle the pounding of running the ball as a qb and it still took its toll on him. Not a fan of any run first qb and think at some point that is not the way to win championship. A qb that can run when needed is an asset but a qb whose best skill is running and one that is constantly looking to run is not a recipe for success. This is not only a fairly small qb but also a rookie who is more likely to play like a rookie in a prominent role he has seemed to be handed regardless of deserving anything.
 
Pat White passing skills are better then Vicks, plus Vick hasnt played in over two yrs and he wont be what he once was.

amazing how the spread made BEck and Smith look like 70 percent passers in college. I see PAt White as Michael Vick lite in the NFL.

Vick is a poor QB, who had poor fundementals and was a poor decision maker.

White has great fundementals and a great character, which is what you look for in a QB.

Vick was a better runner but thats it. I liked Mick Vick but he was a very in-consistant QB. White has the skills to be a successful QB in the NFL.

White will not be half the qb that Vick was. You can write that down.

I hope Im wrong but thats the way I see it. Just another wasted 2nd round pick.
 
Never been a Vick fan to begin with. reminded me of Kordel Stewart. You're a QB not an RB. My worry with White is his apparent reluctance in being anything other than a QB and his interest in Baseball.
He needs to get with A-Rod so he can gain some size... lol
