We held out the wild cat last year for a big game agaisnt the patriots. I think the dolphins have been purposfully holding back pat white to make teams think he was a bust and that we arent going to use him. With the bye I think they are going to unleash Pat White and the wild cat 2.0 vs. the saints. Its a pivotal game because we cant afford to fall to 2-4 and be potentionally 2 games behind the patriots. All im saying, is watch out for Pat White.

People start threads saying "this is the week Pat White will bust out" every week.

I thought we'd be seeing more of him by now.

we need to bust out our secret weapon on D -- if we have one.

you may some some spread option plays in certain situations but look for ronnie, ricky, and cammarillo to have most of the game changing plays.

Just don't see him "busting out". There is a reason we got another spread QB when Penny went down.

Pat White - Bust, not Busting Out. I know it's early, but if he were 'that good,' with the amount of wildcat plays that we run, surely he would have featured in more than 1 play against the jets.

Pat White will be a pick that we will rue for years to come....

What exactly is there to unleash? No one fears Pat White the QB, which leaves him as an undersized RB.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new wrinkle or two added to the wildcat, perhaps with White or maybe Sheets who could be dangerous with his speed, but those are meant to compliment the base wildcat.

Honestly I dont know where all this unbridled optimism comes from regarding White running the wildcat. I hope he succeeds as much as anyone but there is no reason to believe he can be a dominant player in the wildcat, at least for now.

Hopefully one of these weeks the guy that starts this thread will be right... I think it will be next year though.

i won't say any crap, i was definitely expecting pat to emerge as a surprise against the bills or the jets ...

it was my verdict since the day we drafted him, but i was wrong obviously... we've used him in almost every game now, and he has yet to "wow" us like he "should"

on the other hand:
1- give the guy some time
2- if the wildcat keeps working like it does, why change the formula and throw in a 190 pounds rookie in the ball game ?
3- who's in a hurry to see him in the game ? it took a year to see henne hit the field, why should white be on the field sooner, and on top of that, be a messiah or something like that ?

i stay optimistic, this FO has done a tremendous job to utilize the talent they have (wilford, exceptionnally, has failed... lol), so i'm confident they'll bring him along...

Whats with you ppl? watch the jets film....the backers played a little more back and hesitated when White got in the game which is what allowed him to run up the middle on the draw. I just think we havnt had the right situation in a game yet to "unleash" pat. The wildcat is fine with ronnie/ricky/cobbs/fasano pat white runs a different package. We played in a real tight game against the jets and still used him at crunch time..and im sure that play had some kind of "option" or "read" most these plays seem to. The bills game i think they wanted to build hennes confidence and get him reps, and we did put white in at the very end, not thigpen. Sparano has also said that white is the back up quarter back. IDK whats with u white haters but whatever. i hope pw develops as with 3 offensive packages we will be almost unstoppable for the next few years.

I hope they are still working on it and waiting to show it. Like one poster said, why show your next surprise when what you are doing is working so well.
