First off, We are not that bad of a team. I sat next to a Raiders fan at the bar and I'll tell you our team is light years beyond that mess. We looked dominant (as usual) in the first half despite that self inflicted turnover.
Second, save your judgements for Henne and Ginn until the end of the season. I really had no delusions about our squad being still in the maturation process. In fact, a couple nights ago I had a similar discussion with Goon Boss stating that it actually helps us in the future to dominate and lose this year.
Third, Learn more about our youngsters. Well, now we're going to find out a lot about Henne, about Wake, about Moses, about Wilson. I'll tell you what, aside from that pick 6, I was actually impressed with Henne's escapability and accuracy. Those two drops in a row by Ginn would have gone a long way in helping Henne's confidence.
I'm saying this because in a wierd way, I'm glad this happened to us sooner than later for the long term success of this regime. So take some advice from Tyler Durden from "Fight Club" (recently on "movies that don't suck" marathon on G4) and "LET GO!"
Let go of your expectations, let go of what you think you know about football and building a championship squad, and let go of endlessly concentrating on mistakes.
