Might be the steal of the draft in the 3rd round.

I'm a USC fan since 1972 but I'm even wary of any of our receivers who are 6'4" or taller and run above a 4.5 in the 40. Our last 3 ALL-AMERICAN Wide Receivers have been huge disappointments in the NFL.

Hopefully, Turner ends that streak!! I'd take him over Ramses Barden though. Should time better, has better hands and better route running skills, and played against better competition!!

USC alum/fan here and I obviously would love it if we drafted a few Trojans. Rey, Cush, or Matthews in the 2nd (or that Connor Barwin kid out of Cinn) and Turner in the 4th (or high 5th if we can trade down). USC has produced some very good pros, but I can't remember the last time we drafted one. We had Seau, but only for 2 years. Other than that I can't even think of any Trojans that played for the Phins. Anyone else out there know?

I had a class with Keyshawn in 91 or 92 and he was loud and overbearing then, too. He was insightful and inspiring, though, and I've always rooted for him. I think the whole USC WR jinx is overblown. Steve Smith for the NY Giants stepped it up pretty well last year and the jury is still out on Dwayne Jarrett. I'll give you Mike Williams...total bust, but he got screwed taking a year off between college and pro due to legal/NFLPA/NCAA crap.

Don't worry guys. I'm not a rah rah USC guy. I was definitely an outcast back in da ole college days (dreads, piercings, and steel-toe boots, driving up in a 71 VW bus with a giant, rusted dent in the side) and never really rooted for their athletic squads until after I graduated. But, I'm telling you, that program puts out pro ball players and the Phins should take advantage of that. Draft a Trojan today Tuna!!!!!

I wanna know what his real speed is . . . he was a five star recruit . . . and just never lived up to the billing. Something about this big, tall USC WR's that bothers me. He probably runs a 5.0 40 yard dash . . . seriously.

looks like might run a 4.57

I Agree With Your Thoughts......

I agree with your thoughts regarding the Dolphins needing not only to select players from USC but from other big name schools. The Dolphins problem is that they have spent far too many draft picks on players from small schools or big schools that don't play well against top competition. They need to start drafting from USC, Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida; schools who face top competition every year and consistently win. They'll find players who know how to compete on the big stage and players who know what it takes to win.

I agree. I wouldn't even mind using a late round pick on The Rock's nephew.
