guys so I was watching some Dwayne Bowe's highlight on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_428dZskXgs

the first thing I noticed is the size of Dwayne Bowe. This guy is huge. Then I noticed his speed. Hes not as fast as Brandon Marshall but because hes so big, hes hard to defend.

Well since Marshall's name came up to my mind, I got curious and looked at his stats. I was surprised to see that Marshall is actually taller than Dwayne Bowe. Marshall is 6'4. Bowe is 6'2. Then I remember we also have a tall receiver in Patrick Turner. So I searched his name on yahoo and to my surprised, Patrick Turner is actually taller than both Marshall and Bowe. Patrick Turner is friggin 6'5!!

now my question is, what is wrong with Patrick Turner? how come hes not seeing the field? His size alone can create mismatches on the field.

just a thought.

i was wondering the same we havent had a big target like turner since chambers and turner is bigger and more physical, why hasnt he seen the field he did good in preseason and would be a great target for henne in the redzone and comeback and crossing routes. He looks to have the same physical ability as braylon edwards and you saw the mismatches he can create except better hands.....so where is he??

Chris Chambers is only 5''11, and while size is a factor it is not reason enough for turner to get on the field ( see. Wilford ) he has to outplay everyone in front of him and clearly he's not or he'd be out there.

Give him some time! He has only played 5 games. Not to mention he really only played full time his last season with Cal.

Hopefully he will be that diamond in the rough.

Well the main issue is special teams and some intelligence from the noise coming out of dolphinland these days. I do not think that the question on Turner so much is about playing wide reciever. Our special teams have been an issue for quite a while and Turner is learning how to special teams probably for the first time in his life. As far as intelligence he has been bypassed by Brian Hartline a very smart kid who has quickly learned all 3 recievers positions. Hartline also was drafted because he can play special teams. So really when you ask what the problem with Turner getting ont he field I probably should have just answered Brian Hartline. Another thing to consider is last years rookies got on the field very quickly compared to this years class but you have to consider we were a much weaker team last year thus providing rookies more opportunities to shine. Now that we are a better team our coaching staff is showing a tendancy to bring along the rookies slowly instead of throwing them to the wolves. Smith appears to lead this years draft class he probably is the best db we have but he is still rotating with Davis in games. Hartline is being sprinkled into games also. I beleive Harline might offer more pop to the receiving game but they have been limiting his opportunities. He is like 6"2 close to 200 lbs. If and when Turner gets on the field you can probably expect to see only 4-5 balls thrown his way for awhile at best.

phintim summed it up... our 4'th round pick receiver is outplaying our 3'rd rd pick.

Were not really using Many Wr's at this time..

Really only 4...

We cant carry 5, then someone has to sit as well

But yea Hartline is outplaying Turner

Just like Langford outplaying Merling..

Thomas outplay Murphy..

Sean Smith outplay , Davis that one is a reach...

Canty was outplaying Spears in Dallas....And Ratliff is better than them all

That is a trend I am noticing with Parcells.

His late guys always get more burn and last longer..

We should just trade for all 3rd, 4th and 5th rounders

Just kidding
