Very key stat there. Defense bent but did not break down in the green zone like Marino calls it.

We are T7th for red zone scoring (TDs only) this season. Over the last 3 games we are 3rd in the league. Big help.

I read that New England was 3rd in red zone TD % on the year with Gronkowski (only a sample of games, I know), and drop significantly to 31st in the league without him. That dude is HUGE for that offense.

Can't forget that the majority of those guys responsible for letting New England get down the field so rapidly were the reserves. However, man did they step up in the red zone. That was an amazing last stand by the defense, preventing one of the best on SEVERAL tries just 20 yards out of the end zone. Incredible team win, I hope and pray this is not the last time we hear of Michael Thomas in a truly positive light.
