Patriots @ Bills - Go Patriots

I assume most are rooting for the Patriots to defeat the Bills this weekend in order to help the Dolphins Wildcard chances AND increase the chances that the Patriots will have clinched home field advantage by the time of their Week 17 match-up against the Dolphins.

I am curious whether some are constitutionally incapable of rooting for the Patriots OR are rooting for a Patriots loss to keep alive the Dolphins faint hopes for an AFC East division title.

As much as I disdain the Patriots, I will be reluctantly rooting for them because it best helps the Dolphins playoff chances.
 
Why on earth would you ever root for the Patriots? There are still nine games to be played. If Miami wins and NE loses, then Miami needs to make up two games. Being that one is a head-to-head, it is one game of the remaining 7.

Yeah Miami not winning the division. Patriots don't get swept they going to kill the bills this week. Watch for New England to score 45+.
 
I see the logic, but I just can never bring myself to root for the pats even if it benefits us in some way or another
 
Personally, I root for the Jets and Bills to get demolished every single week, regardless of who they are playing. I don't hate the Patriots, at least not nearly in the way I hate those two. We don't really have much of a rivalry that is comparable with the Patriots, we just don't like them because they're a great team with one of the greatest quarterbacks and coaches of all time. So for me, rooting for the Patriots will be EASY in this situation.

The Jets and Bills though? I hope they lose by 60 every single week.

But you can root for the bills? Makes no sense the fins need the patriots to win .
 
So hard for me to ever root for the Ratriots, but if they do win, and that scenario with the bills works out for us then fine, but living up here in NewEngland, I get SO MUCH FREAKIN JOY, when they lose!!
 
Definitely rooting for the Bills! Destroy the F...ing patriots... Ruin them...

The Dolphins need to play HARD and win a bunch of freakin games and let that last game of the season against those Jackasses be for all the MONEY!

Uhum. No. A Dolphins does not root for the Patriots. The playoff race is still far away. The Bills are in reach. No. Dolphins fan root for the Bills.

I kinda hope the Bills shut the Patriots out again. For one, after what we just did to the Bills, it would give me a lot more confidence that the Dolphins can take care of business when they see the Patriots again.
 
I don't like the jets or pats but can deal w/ them in small amounts. Its beefalo I loathe; I still remember the teams of the early 90's.

Having that gasbag Rex as a HC makes it as bad as bacik in the day.

Have you noticed Rexie is flapping his gums about Landry, Brissett, yada yada yada everything but his own team?

p.s. This weekend, go pats.
 
It's been YEARS since rooting against or for another team mattered in regards to the Dolphins. I've spent many a game rooting against a team only for the Dolphins to trip over their own feet and fall off of a cliff on the way to 8-8 or lower.

Not wasting my time this early in the season worrying about the other games until the Dolphins win some more. Once they do that I'll be calculating playoff odds like the movie A Beautiful Mind.
 
You don't have to root for either the pats or bills to win. You pick the team you want to lose and root for THAT team to lose. That way you're not rooting for either to win. You're just rooting for one of them to lose. That's how I look at it

Everyone should be rooting against the Bills and Jets 100% of the time. Period. No matter what.
 
I could care less who wins that game I wont be watching those ******* teams... However I will be rooting for Cleveland to get their first win this weekend... :)
