Patriots cuts OT Cameron Fleming

Dunno much about the guy, but you would be hard pressed to find a coach with a better track record with identifying snd developing Olineman the way bellichek has.

But than again he seems to have hit a place in his career where developing talent on any kind of long term scale isn't something he cares for anymore.

As a Fleming (Scott) Id appreciate having a Dolphin with my last name again! I think Marv Fleming a 70s tight end was the last!!

An offensive tackle from Stanford (#JonathanMartin).....I will pass #BeenThereDoneThat

Pats pick up former Phins all the time. Just for the info, yes. but not sure what roster move we would make

Miami should jump all over this guy. Guy s an amazing run blocker, smart kid too. He plays every position on the OLine.

Fisi - your logic is sound but when was the last time Bill Belichick let go of a player who turned out to have a successful NFL career? His assessment of his players is consistently good. He makes some mistakes in his drafted and free agent players but then he gets rid of them quickly.

I like Fleming, but I don't know that he moves well enough to play in our offense. Curious to see which team picks him up. He can maul in the run game.

Not endorsing but we definitely could use a couple of maulers to open some holes for our RB's. I still don't know what we have...but did see weakness with our #1's in the ground game. Hate to be pressured by good DL's into a one dimensional offense totally relying on RT's arm. And from pre season play see that possibility....Damn our OL hasn't even played together yet and all this figuring and moving around doesn't help put my mind at ease..
Even good OL need time to mesh...and ten maybe I'm wrong and the OL is fine....

I would release Linkenbach and McClendon and sign Flemming and Gino Gradkowski. My reserve linemen would be: Gradkowski, Douglas, Flemming and Fox.

With the defensive lines that the Patriots will face this season, if they are cutting an offensive lineman chances are that it is for a good reason.

Yeah. i figured he could come in and take the RG job while also backing up RT position. I remember what he did to us last year at New England, every 3 nd short run he come in and plough away for first down.
