Whether they win the division or not, I think it's safe to say nobody really fears them anymore and their AFC East dominance is officially over. Last year the Dolphins won the division, but critics and fans said it was mostly due to Brady being gone and the Pats would easily take it this season. Not so easy anymore.

Well, he's back, and they already have the same amount of losses they had last season with Cassel at QB. Their D has major holes. Obviously the Pats are a great team, but you [most likely] won't be seeing them win 5 division titles in a row anymore. They better fix the D soon with their best offensive weapons pushing their mid-30's now. (hopefully they dont:up:)

They'll get a chance to win their first real road game of the season in 2 weeks at Buffalo[when's the last time the Pats were looking for their first road win in mid-December?]. Go Bills[in that game only]. Let's just hope the Phins keep winning though. Win and they're pretty much in, ESPECIALLY against the Jaguars.

It's over for them. We used to dominate the division too, but then we faded. It happens, the AFC East has always had a shift in power to all the teams, except to the Jets.

Haha so true. Every team has strung up a nice set of at least 3 division titles in a row including the Colts when they were here [Dolphins have the most, thank you very much!] except the Jets.

I don't know if we'll be seeing any team get 3+ in a row anytime soon though. Who knows, remains to be seen, but it looks like it will be a dog fight for the next couple years.

Pretty much. Maybe the media will finally take Brady's dick out their mouths and realize the Patriots aren't a good team anymore. You have to let go eventually...

I hope you are right but to be fair last year the sched for all AFC East teams was MUCH, MUCH, MUCH easier. 9-7 this year is equivalent to 11-5 last year.

I said it at the beginning of the year that the Defense would be exposed. It isn't not nearly as good as it has been years passed.

It will fall squarely on Brady's shoulders if they expect to win anything.

Hey junc let's see if your boy Brady can carry the team like Manning all those years!

He's carried the team for most of the decade, the Pats D has been great on paper but always folds in big spots only to be rescued by Brady like SB XXXVI and XXXVIII.

Brady has NOTHING left to prove, manning has alot to prove in January.

I wouldn't say they are done by any means. Brady is still a very good QB and Bill B can coach despite of what we think of him. As long as Brady is around they will be a legit contender.

Keep in mind Brady is coming off a serious injury.

What made the patriots dominate was a excellent front office, very good coaching, and Brady.......If Belicheat doenst get help in the FO they will be an average team....

Harrisons commentary last night during the highlights was interesting. He said the Pats weren't the same as years gone by.

Rodney IMO was implying that the dynasty was on its way down.

They trade their best pass rusher in the pre-season and it leaves their weak secondary exposed. Its good that they are headed back down. It makes this week seem brighter.

Funniest most idiotic post of the YEAR!

i told you all the pats didnt belong in the top 5 of the power rankings... and that in no way did the vikings deserve to be higher than 3

I will grant that the Pats secondary has been exposed, but they have also stock piled large amounts of second rounds picks next year and they got an extra #1 in 2011. They will now be forced to hit on a few of these picks. They have been able to treat picks as expendable commodities in the past...now they'll have to use them wisely.

SB XXXVI, NE leads 17-3 in the the 4. The D allows 14 4th qtr pts, Brady leads team to FG posiition in final min w/ no timeouts from the NE 17.

SB XXXVIII, NE D allows 19 4th qtr pts. Brady leads NE to GW FG

SB XLII, Brady leads O 80 yds to go ahead TD in final 2.5 mins. D allows mediocre NYG O to march right down the field for the TD. Unfortunately for the D they didn't leave enough time for Brady to rescue them again.
