This years team has not had a single reliable aspect of its game to hang its hat on.

What we have is mostly intangible.

We have a collective desire, a gutsiness, a togetherness, a fight to the end and fight at all cost mentality.

At times the offense has been anemic and other times a top shelf team full of explosive plays and yet others we have been a slow methodical grind it out running team that can bully the opponents.

Our defense has been full of holes, undisciplined and feckless - yet at other times has been stout, tough and gritty - and still other times it has been down right mean and vicious.

All together we have been just good enough to win most games - but rarely dominant.

This week I am hoping/predicting we put it all together and play lights out.

Last year in this same week 17 match up, we were hitting Brady so hard and so consistently that Bellicheck pulled him from the line up and basically conceded the game while it was still competitive. Bellicheck was right to do that because the Dolphins were gonna twist him up for good it seemed.

Look for more of the same - this is the perfect storm.

A home crowd - it seems like we are playing with house money as if we have less to lose then they do - in years past when we have been able to hit them hard with a big running back they have crumbled.

Expect more of the same -

Let this be the beginning of the end of the patriots dominance over the Dolphins as we take a giant step towards changing the power balance in the AFC East - for good!

time to send a message to those cheating kunts and the rest of the league

We essentially cost them a super bowl last year. I think they came out kind of soft, underestimating us, and we punched them in the mouth. I suspect they want revenge for that and will bring their a-game. And the Pats a-game is obnoxiously scary. I hope everything you said comes to be 100% true but as long as Mr Bunchen is at QB and Bellicheat is coaching, they seem to have this league figured out.

I thank you for the "Mr. Bunchen"!

Interesting to note that Belichick stated in yesterday's press conference that Miami is the best at making explosive plays in the NFL. Maybe this is a key stat that he tracks.

We must make it a physical war and we must set the tone early. The first objective on D is to hammer Brady every chance we get, totally bust him up, a Wake, Suh sandwich would be awesome! We must be stout against the run and not let Brady get into one of his unstoppable rhythms where the chains keep moving and the clock keeps ticking and TOP gets lopsided. We likely won't win that type of game because by the 4th quarter our D will be gassed. The opposite has to occur. Pound with Ajayi and mix in quick throws to Landry, Parker and Stills, take some shots down the field to loosen them up. Give them Kenyon Drake to worry about by lining him up all over the place. Our O-Line must win the battle against their D-Line, Moore must have time to throw and creses must be created for the J-Train to blast threw. Gase has to call the game of his life by keeping NE off balance and finally on their heels wrongly guessing at what's coming at them next. The 10 point line is an insult. NE will know that they were in a war especially Brady, who is going to take some ferocious hits. Finally, pick Brady off one or two times, maybe grab a fumble somewhere along the way. The main thing is play smart, keep the flags to a minimum and win the turnover battle. I feel we will do all of the above and emerge with a 4th quarter squeaker, 24-23.

I want the D to rough Tommy up, and get him frustrated. Pressure up the middle, smack him around a bit, but in no way do I want him knocked out of the game. Number one, that causes the "well, we didn't have Tom" excuse from the Pats fans, and Two, I don't want Jimmy G running around and creating space and mismatches . This team just doesn't do well against QBs that can "move"

We're three weeks removed from being blown out by Joe Flacco. It would be great if our scheme simply outmatched Belichick and Brady. But missing five starters in D this is a long shot of a game to win. Thankfully we don't HAVE to win, but staying competitive would be great momentum heading into he playoffs.

We are tied for the lead in plays of 40 yards or more...it is a fact.

If the Phins had stayed healthy and hadn't started the season 1-4, I believe they could have developed into one of the top 3 teams in the AFC.
With a good offseason, I expect them to seriously challenge the Pats for the division next season

I would just live to see Tom like this...

Brady should be on the menu during the game. Brady patte served on turf toast.

I definitely don't want to see an ex-Dolphin like 7-Eleven open all the time and torching us.

Yes I'd like to see Wake and Suh do the Petty crunch on him.
