But AFC EAST DIVISION Games are ALL must-win games since they usually matter the most when it comes to playoff seeding/tie-breaking. Period.

Two years ago we beat the Jets in both regular season games. They went to the playoffs and we didn't.

Your premise just isn't true. It simply isn't a must win. It isn't anything close to a must win.
 
I have always considered every home game against a division opponent to be a must-win. They need to at least split against the Pats and Jets and must sweep the Bills.
 
This isn't MLB or the NBA. Every game is a must win in the NFL.
 
This game sets the tone for the rest of the season. If we do lose we better at least do so with some dignity in tact. We we let them take our heart the season is in trouble.
 
Some people are grossly misinterpreting the difference between an important game and a, "must win," scenario.

The first game of the season is the least, must win, game of the year.
 
Every game is a must win. Last time I checked the first game was as important as the last....
 
only on this site could the first game of the season be considered a must win game. We could lose this game and still go 15-1.......smh.....not even in the same ball park as a must win game

It would be so sick if they beat up on Brady and shake his confidence like the Lions did! I hoping Brady hears footsteps in his sleep after this game! Every game for the Phins is a must win.

Division game or not they have to go out there and want to destroy teams, and not just play to hang around and pull the win out of a hat at the end. That's been one of our downfalls with this regime. It's always play not to lose the game. We have to set the tone from the-get-go this season by beating up on Brady and the Pats.

We have been horrendous with momentum the past couple of years. If we were down by a field goal it was as if the team would unravel. Beating the Pats would give us a huge confidence boost, but we have to know how to keep the wheels rolling in our favor from it if we do end up winning.

Definitely a must win... No way we beat the Texans in week 2. We go 0-2 and once again it will turn into the usual Dolphins season.
 
1. Every game is a must win! How many seasons do teams finish with same record and miss the playoffs?

2. It is a division game it is a must win!

3. It is the ****ing Patriots it is a must win!

4. It is at home on MNF it is a must win! For a bunch of fans bitching this team gets no respect from the media. Well here is a ****ing thought last year the Patriots stomped us! The Jets beat us, and the Bears ****ing shut us out at home! All on Nationally Televised spot light prime time games!

You guys want some damn respect then this team needs to go out and earn it! Jesus Christ the season hasn't even started and the excuses for a loss are piling up! All you people who call me a bad fan because I dare to criticize bad play or poor personnel decisions take a look at yourself! DEMAND EXCELLENCE! This franchise wallows in mediocrity because not only is it accepted it becomes justified! If this team is going to be a legitimately contender it needs to win its division games especially at home! Until then we are getting into the post season with help and getting our ***** handed to us in the first round!

It's a division game, of course it's a MUST win. Them and the Jets are gonna win many games. We're gonna have to win just as much as them to have a shot at the playoffs.

Agreed. Daboll needs a bit of that Belichick run the score up, never quit, go for the throat mentality. Just as important, Nolan needs to be able to read Belichicks mind. I'd love a 2 or 3 score lead but my guess is, the Pats are going to know we'll use the pass to open up the run. If I were game planning, on defense I'd run and pass blitz. Contain Hernandez and Woodhead. Put the Detroit and Jets games on screen for review. On offense, use the dink and dunk to open up the field. It's worked for them and we have better talent. Bush is better than Welker, and Marshall and Bess are better than Cinco and Branch. Most importantly, go in there and fight like Braveheart for 60 minutes of game time.
