Albert Breer, of the Boston Herald, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/24/nfl">New England Patriots have been rumored to have been talking about a trade with the Washington Redskins, which would ship the Patriots 28th pick and CB Asante Samuel to the Redskins for the sixth overall pick. This would allow the Patriots to draft Louisiana State S LaRon Landry, an impact player who would be ready to start on the season opener.

How would this affect us. I personally think this would kill us and we would have to look at trading with Arizona or possibly Tampa..... Wow talk about messing us up in trading up for Quinn if he is avalaible.

if he goes to NE he is a HOFer already.

it'll probably never happen. Washington is the obvious choice for any one to talk to though, because they have so few picks this year. The Pats are probably just exploring the option, since Landry is unlikely to get past Atlanta

Does Washington have enough CBs yet?

theyre old in the 2ndry other than carlos rogers..
i can see it happening...
remember they have attempted to trade that pick away before(thats why so many of finheavenites beklieve we trade up to 6 to get quinn)..

so i can def. see it..
but really really hope it doesnt happen.

p.s.
they(the pats) could prob. get the 6th just by offering up their late 1st..

um................
..........thats a jab at the franchise, yes in deedy..

This is the Redskins we are talking about. They are all over this trade. In fact, if it happens, I am sure they will throw in Shawn Springs as well. That is the rumor here in DC.

Yea but they also signed Fred Smoot and David Macklin and still have Shawn Springs.

Pats may be getting richer VIA Skins, for Landry

if brady quinn isnt gone by the 1,2, or 3rd pick then thats when we would want to try and move up. this dosn't really effect us because it's not like the pats are going to pick quinn. i would like to get washingtons 6th overall but i don't wanna give up to much.

Well, it would slightly, but not MAJORLY. As long as Quinn falls past the Browns I am confident we can get him (assuming for this thread that we are targeting him). If the Past move up to #6, that all but destroys our chances to go up to that spot, as they are only doing so for Landry, and he won't make it past Atlanta to be there at #9, so they won't swap with us.

However, we could trade up with Arizona to #5 for our 1st and the Past' 2nd rounder (#60), or up to #4 with TB for the same plus a player or for our 1st and OUR 2nd rounder (#40).

That is all hypothetical, assuming we are targeting Quinn (Hopefully we are), he falls past Cleveland (Hopefully he does), and the players TB and/or Arizona are targeting still have a chance of being there at #9 so they are willing to do the trade. NE trading to #6 makes stuff harder, but definately not impossible.

gosh darn it , i sure wished that we could pull some more draft picks out of our magic hat and then i wished we could kick the jets and patriots sorry kesters.

Every year the Skins are involved with signing everyone, trading or just being in the news.:tantrum:
