Patriots vs. Chiefs...Help for Miami?

Jets are in a possible death spiral right now, Bills already won their Super Bowl and are still the Bills, and the Patriots can't protect Tom Brady. If the Dolphins can get in sync and start playing good ball, I absolutely love our chances to win it.

I know the Patriots often start off slow, but when you look at this Patriots team, does anyone honestly think this is the same team? Even when they've struggled at the start of the season, I can't recall ever seeing them look this pedestrian.

The Jets next 3 games decide their season. Buffalo, can they actually do anything with Orton at QB? New England will win 10 games still this year and takes the division IMO.

And espn and nfln have their work cut out for them for the week. I guarantee that's all that will be on the networks.

What's wrong with the patriots and Tom Brady?

Will the patriots be able to regain greatness?

Do Bill belechicks dingleberries actually smell like berries?

Oh they talk about it all the time on Sirius. They mentioned today how the Pats have a history of letting players walk a year or 2 before they fall off. The difference is in recent years the moves the Pats have made to replace those players haven't panned out. The drafts have been bad to ok for years for the Pats but they still had a core to mask those issues, but now they don't have the core to mask the problems.

I'm not counting on Miami to do anything. I still sit by my 7-9 prediction. I'd love for 7-9 to win the division but New England still wins 10+ games.

That's a fair. I think talent wise we should win double digits, but with all the inconsistencies it's tough to predict that.

This is true, but having seen all of the Patriot games, something is not right with the team. They can turn it around, but unless they make some changes they aren't the sure-fire Super Bowl contender some made them out to be.

They can't protect Brady, but that isn't the only issue. With Gronk not being what he was (and nobody knows if he'll get there) he's been relegated early this season to a redzone only player. This makes the other receivers easy to defend between 20's.

Also, for whatever reason, the Patriots refuse to run consistently even though Ridley and Vereen both are capable backs.

I would love to share my texts to my KC friends from last night. I talked about making NE on defense run side to side...ala Miami. Take care of the ball...ala Miami. On defense take advantage of their oline on the edges and play disciplined.

Miami exposed the fundamental flaws with NE. Their issues are deep. The only thing left to do is trade Mike Wallace to NE since he's stupid and a one trick pony.

With Wallace's bloated contract I doubt it even gets a passing thought by the pats

U have to like that we are in the middle of things but I do think its premature to write off the Pats. Lets not forget a week ago we were coming off two straight 19 point defeats.

I guess you failed to understand the sarcasm.

But give that offense a edge threat, and things would change for NE. They have no one to stretch the defense. And Wallace would work wonders in that offense. But you haters are so blind by hate, you fail to see the truth.

They need someone who will dictate coverage. With no Gronk at peak form, the field is slowly being shrunk by defenses. I point to 2012 Miami team.

They had no one really doing that last year so it will be interesting to see how they adjust. Thompkins and Dobson have been banged up.
I personally don't like their receivers < I personally would trade for an underutilized receiver from another team. The inability of Gronk to do a lot is really hurting them and I don't understand not using Wright more. He was effective in Tampa but barely has played.
All good for us but BB is a great coach and if anybody can right that ship its him
