Recognizing it is Patriot bias reporters writing, but a reasonably fair interpretation.

1. Miami will rest starters if the Patriots are winning big.
2. Adam Gase is legit candidate, but behind Belichick, Garrett and Jack Del Rio. - they ascribe the schedule helping phins - fair
3. Jay Ajayi is the biggest weapon.
4. Matt Moore is not as good as the last two games according to these writers - Do not agree....they are in for a surprise.... they are missing the Cardinals throw...Jets (suspect secondary)...Bills...: If I were Gase I would prepare for a Moore fest.
5. Miami Defense ---they are calling it mercenary (not home grown). Suh, Mario, Cam and Kiko. Mario does not play anymore.
6. Patriots loss from last year.....

Nice read.

They refer to Xavien Thomas in the article. Xavien Howard morphed with Michael Thomas? This tells me that the writer doesn't know much about the Dolphins. He also refers to New England's loss at Miami last year, but he may be surprised to learn that Miami has beaten the Patriots in Miami for each of the past 3 years. We're actually going for 4 in a row.

Matt Moore won the Arizona game coming in on the fly. I wish belichick thought the way this guy does.

Here is my honest view of your team.

You guys are trending in a good direction and i like some of the young talent you have. However your injuries are going to be an issue and your team isn't ready to make the next step yet. That being said you are going to be the 4th best team in these playoffs. I like your team over Houston and the Carr-less Raiders. Your team is super dependent on big plays and though you have some great athletes that create good chances for them to happen with proper gap discipline and tackling a lot of the big plays i have seen from your team would be limited gains.

When healthy I like a lot about your defense. Obviously your team has some weak points that are really keeping it down. A FA or good draft pick at LB would go a long way to fix much of your issues but you just don't have it this time. All that being said I expect your team to play hard and have 1 big play cause that is just something your team seems to do to any defense but unless Brady is under pressure a lot (which with our OL I don't think he will be... it has really improved over last year) I don't see your team able to keep up. Also much has been made of the Pats run game. It is okay but nothing special. More than they have had since 2004 but that is not saying much. They do commit to it now and try to be more balanced and against your run D they will have success but it still something that they rely on more situationally and when up than a way to move down the field.

Good luck in the playoffs unless it is against us. I have to say an all AFCE AFCCG be pretty cool :p

Matt Moore and Parker will have a field day against the Pats secondary with Ajayi and the Fins TEs gashing the seams.
On defense, Wake and Suh will crush Brady like Petty and have him wobbling to the huddle.
Not even close
Mia 30
Pats 24

like your confidence but 30-24 (a one score game) is pretty close...no?

Nice write up Bob. You are not wrong, we have done well with the big plays and this is where I feel Bill B will put 8 or at least disguise 8 in the box to stop the run and keep someone deep at all times. I actually think a guy like Moore is one of the hardest for Bill to prepare for because he will take the chances that he shouldn't. Bill is great at taking away what you like to do but if luck and Moore is on, we will cause you problems deep because of Moore's tendency to throw long when he shouldn't. I don't like your pass rush against us either.

On the flip side, Bennett might have 5 tds or White. Your guys who match up best against us are our biggest weakness. LBs and S. damn Moore is going to have to be hot to keep up.

Fairly sure those wire sites are just fanblogs like the sb nation ones

One thing Bob does not mention is the fact that when Brady is rattled and hit on, he loses steam. Our front 4 is made for this type of thing. Get to Brady, put hands on him, wrap him up etc. Brady is the offense, and when he is rattled the timing goes off.. Just my opinion, but the last 3 wins have shown this to be true.

To Bob, thanks for coming in, I hope neither team sustains any injury.

the one that was under thrown and stills made a great play by adjusting? or the under thrown throws from the jets game that one was picked (the time parker had three steps on the guy) and the other would have if the defender wouldnt have fallen down (sims catch inside the five)?

look i like moore, but the guy is a back up qb that has played well enough to get us by. just look at the throw before half time last week. wth was that. lets get three and go to half. i hope the guy plays well, but some on here make him out to be more than average

That's as good an assessment of how our team as I have seen.

I think Dolphins roll up a 3 score advantage by half and the Cheatriots decide to rest their starters 2nd half.:brewskis::lol:

Well thought-out post, and I agree with most of it with the exception of the bolded. This team is getting better every week, even with backups. I don't think the Jets game was as much of a fluke as it was a result of everyone on the Fins getting increasingly better at doing their jobs and working cohesively. That Bills game last week? I don't think any other Fins team in the last 15 years wins that game. I don't think anyone knows exactly when the Fins are going to "take the next step," but I *do* think it's going to be sooner than anyone anticipates.

What's missing from this analysis is the fact that we're playing at home. Unlike recent years, Miami has a CLEAR home-field advantage this year. The only home loss came when the team was still in disarray, before Gase cut Dallas Thomas, etc.. Since that point we're undefeated at home, and that's no small thing. Look at how we pulled games out against Arizona and Buffalo. If we can keep this game close, I feel our home field will give us the edge.
