So I heard on sports radio that the Pats' defense has not allowed another team to score more than 20 points the past 8 games in a row.
What can we throw at them to score 21 and end this sick streak?

I think in all seriousness its going to be a difficult night for us. We have to focus on not allowing them to score EARLY. When they do that we haven't been able to bounce back. I think I read somewhere the past four games the smallest deficit to start the game has been 14.

If we can stop them early and if we can get the running game moving the sticks and if Drake can hold on to the ball then we have a chance to get there but those are big ifs against a good team. If we let Brady destroy our confidence then expect something in the range of 30 something to maybe 10 if we are lucky.

Make 3 touchdowns along with the point after each!

Belichick is truly remarkable. The Pats started the season with one of the worst defenses in the league, and Brady was making the team win regularly by posting a passer rating a decent bit above the one the Pats were surrendering, which was above 100 and comparatively bad.

Now Brady's passer rating is nearly 110, and the Pats' pass defense's passer rating surrendered on the season has plummeted to 88.4, which is about average.

After starting the season with a major part of their winning recipe (passer rating differential) in jeopardy, they've corrected that completely, and now have the kind of passer rating differential associated with an expected record of 12-4. If the overall passer rating they surrender continues to drop, they could very well finish 14-2 just like last season.

They just somehow find their winning stride year after year.

Ya, it's called cheating. Whenever you see these kinds of trends with teams or individuals, it is, within itself, incriminating. On the individual level you see this kind of turn around with guys who juice.

Belichick has never had an ounce of integrity and it is quite obvious he believes that cheating is part of the game.

That is how they go from being ranked 31 st in the league to all of a sudden being one of the better defenses even after suffering major injuries.

Damn KC. A bit harsh. But you may be right. I just don't know that the NFL is good enough to catch these guys AGAIN!

I have a hard time believing they do something illegal that no other team has caught up to and at the same time it gives them such a competitive advantage that they’re winning year after year. I mean what could it possibly be? I just think they are a well coached football team.

this is extreme, but I want Miami to watch film on their first 4-6 games and see if they can re-visit plays that NE has not been vulnerable to in the past several games.

FWIW, I suspect BB tries to take away Stills and attack Miami LBs

It’s going to be ugly for us. Don’t fool yourself to think that Miami thrned it around after dominating a badly coached team like Denver. BB is far superior to VJ.

A Pats defense playing well as the season progresses and in December- where have I seen this before?

I think the better explanation is that, via their coaching, they simply get much more out of their film review than the average team, which then translates to better play on the field in the future.

They have players who have the capacity to learn from their mistakes, they have coaches who know how to find them on film and point them out and very effectively teach a better way to play, and they have a team culture in which this sort of improving by learning from one's mistakes and playing better in the future is expected. Nothing less is tolerated in the Patriots' locker room.

Obviously there are several variables involved in that process, any one of which can be lacking for another team, thus producing a significantly poorer outcome for another team in this regard.

Other teams may simply bang their heads against the wall, playing roughly the same way all year, while the Patriots refine themselves week after week as the season goes along.
