Pats fans on Zach Thomas.

Some mixed emotions. One quote that got me is;

"Nice, sign him up for a 1 year deal and a chance at a ring. "

As much as I want to see Thomas get a ring, it cannot be done this way. I may even lose some love for the guy if he decides to play for the Pats, just like Seau.
 
As long as he doesn't go to the Jets, i really could care less where he goes. The Jets give him NO chance to win anything. The Patriots he has a legitimate shot to win a ring with, as much as i hate them and i'd hate seeing him win with them, if he's going to win anything it would be there. Although they have enough aging ex-dolphin linebackers in Seau and Larry Izzo :)

Thats not the point, and in fact, if I had to make the decision, I wouldn't.

Even if he is cheap, and still playing at a high level, I don't want to be the GM that signed a guy that isn't fit to play, and could potentially cause great harm to his already fragile head.

Zach Thomas belongs on our sideling coaching our LBs. Not in a Pats uniform.

Not if he's healthy

If Zach Thomas is healthy come September he will be a GREAT asset to any team that picks him up, because he can still play. This isn't a guy who has been diminishing for a long time now, he was playing at a high level up until his injury this year.
 
this really hurts to read what these fans wrote. The way they say some of the stuff about an all time great for a franchise. It hurts to have seen this day actually come and say, we will most likely never see ZT in a fin uni ever again.
 
you know what's funny pats fan seem to think that their the only team with the chance at the ring. every single year I hear this from pats fan. I want to see him play for the chargers.
 
I would personally like to see him win it with the Colts since he will no longer play for Miami.

That would be great for Zach. I know he can still play at a high level, but his health is the uncertainty right now.

I just hope he remains healthy and gets a playoff berth....without a division rival of course.

We're all rooting for you Zach. :clapping:
 
no other real contenders can offer Zach a spot, other than the patriots.... GB has barnett, giants have pierce, cowboys have james and the other fella, SD have Wilhem and ..the other fella lol dont remember his name, colts have Brackett... the ONLY other place i would see would be the new orleans saints, they play a 4-3, have very good talent on offence and just need some quality players on defence...maybe Zach would think his presence will change something along with a defensive player in the draft ?!?!? i dunno... but plz, not a patriot
 
It just hurts, badly, but I think Zach has to much pride to go to NE.
 
Yeah, I agree, I dont think ZT would pull such a horrible move to us fans by going to the Pats. I'm hoping he goes to the colts or jags.
