& the Rams will host one home game in London for the next three seasons


The Saint Louis Rams will be the home team during next year's International Season game in London, a team source said Friday.

The team later confirmed, via its Facebook page, that it will host the New England Patriots on Oct. 28 at Wembley Stadium. The game will be aired by CBS at 1 p.m. ET. The team also announced that it will play one of its home games in London in 2013 and 2014.

The game will serve as one of the Rams' eight home games next season and will mark the second time the Patriots have traveled to England during the regular season.

Last year's game in London featured the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears -- a 24-18 win for the Bears.

The Rams recently hired Jeff Fisher, who spent 17 seasons coaching the Tennessee Titans, as their new head coach to replace Steve Spagnuolo.

It's really not fair that NE again gets only 7 true road games, they played in London 2 years ago as well. I know it's worse travel than travelling to SL but they don't face an opposing crowd and they get their bye after the game so the travel won't be a big deal.

I agree. The Wembley crowd always consists of people who know nothing about the sport, mixtures of fans from all 32 teams, celebrities and club wembley members. Last year the Bucs played a home game in London, but the Bears had far more support than them due to Chicago's big fanbase in the UK. This definitely makes it easier for Brady & co. The real losers here are the Rams.

SL is hosting the next 3 years so I assume they are getting some decent money for this.

NE would beat SL anywhere they played but it dos stink that they get this advantage of only 7 road games for the 2nd time in the last few years.

A bit hard don't you think.
If you want to be named World champ's you have to travel the World.
 
When the Pats played the Bucs in London 2 years ago the crowd basically cheered everytime either team had the ball. I remember seeing the stands and every other fan was wearing a jersey from a random team. It was pretty funny actually.
 
Maybe if there were games in Japan, the Dolphins would play there!
