Ginn gets look

The Patriots hosted Ohio State wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. on a pre-draft visit today at Gillette Stadium.
The 5-foot-11, 178-pound Ginn, who enters the draft following his junior season, is one of the top receivers in a deep class. He is also a dynamic returner.
In the BCS championship game against Florida, Ginn returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown. He sprained his left foot in the ensuing celebration and missed the rest of the game. Ginn had not worked out for scouts prior to April 11.
"It wasn’t really me celebrating. It was more of just (telling teammates) not to grab," Ginn said of his injury at the Combine in February. "I usually just hand the ball to the officials. Being so excited and my team being so excited, it just shows that you’ve got to keep all your cool and stay calm and do the things you do all the time."
NFL teams are allowed up to 30 visits with out-of-town prospects before the draft. The purposes of the visits vary, from double-checking medical records, to creating a smokescreen for other teams, to genuine interest.
In addition to Ginn, the Patriots also hosted Fresno State defensive back Marcus McCauley on a visit at Gillette Stadium. The 6-foot, 203-pound McCauley was considered to be a top prospect after his junior season but has slipped after his 2006 senior season.

After the Pats getting Welker, I feel like its less likely they would take Ginn....they need more help at linebacker and running back.

They also picked up Stallworth. They were probably just bringing him in if he slips.

they also could package up their two first rounds picks and move up to get ginn,,,if that happens i will literally weep,,,,sounds just like something belicek would do,he is smarter than everyb ody else in the league.

Not sure about that. They have two first round picks. They are a complete football team on both sides of the football, and they could add Ginn (if he's available when they pick) as an electric kick and punt returner and still have enough picks to add a young corner back, Linebacker, and offensive lineman on the first day. Possibly even another running back if they chose. They won't move up to get him though, but it's possible he could fall that far.

To be honest, based on the level of excellence that the pats have sustained over the past several years plus their moves this off season, the patriots scare me...

Vrabel & Adalius @ CB?

I had a flashback to the Draft special a few weeks ago where someone was praising the Pats versatility... I know its a shock

Can y'all imagine their D if they drafted Anthony Spencer from Purdue which I pray doesn't happen.
