Pats release Jonathan Sullivan and Hank Poteat

Seeing as how the Patriots always take the players we release and turn them into studs....why dont we bring in Sullivan and Poteat?? They are both young, Sullivan is a massive guy too. Poteat is...well, petite....but he's decent. Anyone think Saban would take a good look at them?
 
Sullivan is a defensive tackle, and Poteat is a Defensive Back. Yea we are stacked at DT, but i dont think Traylor/Zgonina or even Carter or Holliday will be back next year. So we may wanna bring in some young guys. Why pay those guys so much money if they arent getting us wins??
 
id much rather give the reps that sullivan would be getting to Fred Evans and Vickerson

this is true also. dont forget manny wright and ROD wright. but knowing saban, he likes to sign lots of decent guys...have everyone fight for those spots, and the best 2 keep it. the more DTs we have in practice, the harder the fight...the harder the fight, the better the starting DT.

Is Manny Wright even going to play a down for us this year?????
 
Poteat is actually no better than what we have in the secondary so pass. Sullivan is an underachieving DT with weight and attitude issues. We are fine at DT and it is one area that we have no issues with. DT is the least of our worries. Pass on both.
 
manny wright is dmitrius underwood part 2. Bet he gets cut next offseason. And lets stop putting our eggs in the basket of Vickerson, Rod, and evans. These guys were not exactly considered monsters in college (wright dropped for a reason) and have nothing to warrant them being anything other then backups. We have to stop acting as if every pick will be a starter. most guys who show anything at least get some playing time no matter what.

did u see how well Evans played in the pre-season?? or how about Vickerson being considered a Kevin Carter type? Manny Wright played real well last year when he played. I think we got ourselves a good set of DTs.
 
I agree with Slippy... Manatee is a ticking timebomb....I hope he pulls through..but lordy, the lockeroom is gunna be tough
