Pats sign Marcus Thigpen

they don't have the bottom of the position players and likely cuts in the same meeting rooms with starters and position coaches for nothing...they are being prepared just like the starters are they just dont get the field reps with the 1's...marcus thigpen was with the wrs and probably the rbs to a lesser extent jones with the dbs

they are not excluded

they just also had special teams meetings with rizzi

Its completely overrated imo. If someone like Hartline or Miller were a surprise cut, there might be something, but we cut special teams players with limited info.
Thigpen was going out to be a WR. You're saying that he did not get the plays and scheme that Hartline and Wallace did? Ho wcan he copete for the spot if he doesn't get all the plays?

What this strongly suggests, is that if Belicheat can afford to turnover practice squad and roster spots for our rejects, while we've been hard-pressed to make final decisions and have had to even cut Damian Williams, then once you get past the first layer of players (which granted, is the main consideration), we're probably a stronger deeper team than the Pats.

Why don't we do this? Or is this over-rated?

It depends on the situation. Like we would gain very little information on the Patriots, there is literally years of film on them and I don't think learning about a wrinkle here or there is worth giving up a roster spot for. We probably could get a lot of useful stuff from a Bills castoff, probably could have picked up Thad Lewis. We need a decent third QB anyway and I'm sure he has pretty intimate knowledge of what the Bills will be doing this season.

As for our offense, nobody outside the organization has any real clue what type of offense we'll be running. Lots of guesses but nobody can be sure, well, nobody except for Belichick that is. Convenient its the one guy that matters the most...

"Do you expect me to talk?"

"No, Mr. Jones, I expect you to die!"

Thats the way I see it. I dont see how either of these players can give the Pats any solid infomration. Neither one of them were given game plans for this week, and Thigpen hasn't really been part of the offense anyway, which is why he was cut.

Thats why we have Mini Camp and preseason Is to learn a new play book that was implanted , Thats what they were doing the whole time camp was going on , Yeah it will help the pats learn about our new system ,but the pats got both of a good thing , they will know more on what we are trying to do and have 2 decent ST players ,in my whole 31 years of watching football THIS IS what other teams of the same Division have done to get the edge on another team there playing , and BB has seen a hell of alot of diffrent schems , he knows how to prepare , thats why he is trying to find out just what Offence we are trying to run on his team.
