Patterson

Guess for those coaches who watched both big-ticket corners Patterson and Marshall, determining which one to offload was more of a no-brainer than I'd have thought.

They said last night "It looks as if they are trying to get his shoulder back in place".

That would mean he had separation/dislocation of the shoulder. I am wondering how long that takes to heal?

Wheres our two draft picks? Davis and Taylor? Are they that bad they cannot make the field? Or are the others playing at such a high level, there is no room for them on the field?

Taylor was a 2nd rounder. Did we blow that pick too? !

Were they picks made by Ireland in the second and third round? Blown picks...

Though I really like Taylor and think he has the skill set, but I would like to see him get on the field more.

Health is certainly an issue, but he does a good job of coverage in addition to his remarkable takeaway record. If he were a guy that was always healthy he would be one of the top 10 CB's in the league and definitely not a free agent available for backup money.

I'm extremely happy to have him and very pleased with his play.

2nd and 3rd rd picks and they both cant get on the field even though jimmy wilson and nolan carroll are on this team. very sad even more sad people on here justify these 2 awful picks by saying its great we're bringing them along nice and slow. this draft class has been an absolute disgrace so far.

What's with all the hate for this draft class. Dion Jordan has flashed in his limited time behind, arguably, the best d-line in the league. Dion Sims gets some time at TE and Don Jones is a beast on special teams. Jelani Jenkins gets some time in at LB. Ok...Dallas Thomas hasn't shown much especially with a weak o-line. The two rookie corners are coming along slow but it's really too early to judge..especially the hardest transition position other than QB.

The team is more talented now than in past years (except for O-line) and it'll take longer for rookies to get on the field and that's a good thing.

Guys missed how many games 3 or 4? and hes tied for the league lead in INTs! I love this guy!

The last time Patterson said he was OK he missed 5 games. To him he's always OK. I really do hope this isn't a serious with him though, he's been stellar.

Reading this actually made me more depressed regarding the draft class. Perhaps these corners will good someday - but if we were all set at DB why did we use such high picks on them? Surely we had other needs - we still don't have enough - and didn't before any injuries - playmakers on offense. A FB would have been nice too. And I'm still not sold on our RBs - only a dufus turns the best play of his career into a mind-boggling gaffe. But I guess we're set at corner for the next 5-7 years. I do think Jordan is going to be a beast.

I could be off here but I think he's only played 13 or 14 full quarters...

And yet is still tied for the league lead in INTs. Injury's are running rampant throughout the NFL. My gut tells me its due in part to the NEW soft CBA rules. Either way though you don't give up on a talent like that.

Too early to tell whether we blew our picks on those two corners. Cornerback is one of the hardest to transition to for college players it seems. Look at Dee Milliner, who was supposed to be pro ready according to some, struggle consistently. Taylor was also injured a lot coming into the league, who knows if that set him back...

Either way, it's nice that we have these vets in Grimes and Patterson playing consistent ball. Allows us to bring these rookies along slowly.

I don't think its that hard, but its a position where your mistakes are clearly exploited. But I've seen plenty of rookies come in and play stable football, I just don't think we are going to see that this year because of injuries that kept Taylor and Davis from taking more lumps and learning from them in the preseason and camp.
