Do we trade up to get this kid or let him fall into our lap at #13? Rumblings are he is better than Goff. And though not a CB or an immediate position of need, he can be groomed to backup R.T. and give us the best tandem of young QB's in he league for some years to come. Maybe then we wouldn't be so hesitant to run R.T. more knowing that we have a viable backup to spell him on certain downs.

I this just a fantasy or is it based in some reality????????

"And then someone said Paxton Lynch would come and take my job. "

Nope. Tannehill isn't going anywhere this year. That's a very basic concept based largely on salary, without even getting into thoughts about talent. So why on earth would we draft a potential replacement in such a ****ty QB year when we're stuck with him regardless AND we'll be in great position to draft out of a far better QB class next year if Tannehill falters? Makes no ****ing sense.

And there's rumblings the fins players they got in a trade with the eagles will actually be on the field on opening day. aha

Can he stuff the run? Pressure the QB or cover a WR? If so then i'm in!!

That would be awesome! Then we could have another QB lead the league in sacks for 3 years, throw for over 4000 yards, and a better than 2 to 1 TD rate.....then have fans with no football IQ at all want to draft another QB because it has to be their fault! Or, how about no!

You draft backup QBs in the first round when you're current QB is about to retire and your team has no holes. So many people obsessed with drafting a QB on this board it's silly.

interesting scenario. if Miami feels that way, is this feasible with a trade and what would be the cap hit?

If Gase and co think he's a future star, absolutely. RT is basically on a one year deal and they can cut him if he doesn't make a significant leap in 2016. Similar to the Brees/Rivers dilemma several yrs ago.
PL isn't ready to start and would benefit from sitting on the bench for a season.
If our coaching staff and FO are high on him, then it wouldn't surprise me if we take him at 13. However, I still think some team like Denver is going to trade up for him.

No to Lynch, but yes to Hackenberg or Cook..... if we didn't have Ryan Tannehill.
