If he is interested in this job, he should be laying down subtle hints throughout the broadcast. I will be very interested to hear his thoughts on Tannehill throughout the game. I'm pretty sure Ross will have a talk with him before the game to gauge his interest.

I will be very interested to hear Gruden's take on Philbin and the way they handled the Martin situation.

Gruden is not coming to Miami, nor do I want him. Also, Gruden is not going to comment either way on how Philbin handled the Martin situation.

Coaches don't undermine other coaches in hopes to get their job. No matter how subtle...

Get real

I'm not saying he will undermine Philbin, but he assuredly will have a "take" on the situation. I don't think that will be him trying to get Philbin fired though.

However, I do think we will be able to gauge his level of interest in taking the Dolphins job if offered by how he talks about Tannehill.

What makes you think there is a job to be had?

Have you looked at any sports news today? The Dolphins are a national embarrassment again. You think Ross is happy his millions went to this dysfunction?

Gruden has a lot of baggage and I'm not sure he's the best fit for this team right now.

This team flat out needs a high character coach who is going to clean up an enormous mess and win the confidence of the players. Gruden is not that guy.

Should have hired McCoy.

Seriously, and then we could throw it 3 straight times on the goal line with 1 second left and two timeouts to win the game instead of running it. And have a 4-5 record. And then everyone could yell for his removal from the head coach position.

Philbin isn't going anywhere. Its not like he covered up touching little boys like in Penn. Martin prob complained to Philbin the guys were being mean and Philbin prob asked him what he wanted to do about it. Watching Hard Knocks I feel really assured Philbin addressed the situation calmly and professionally.

You may be right, but Ross is desperate for some credibility at this point, and Gruden brings that.

My hope would be for a strong GM with David Shaw from Stanford. I think Shaw brings the kind of calm, strong leadership this team needs.

But I wouldn't be opposed to Gruden at this point. We have tried no-names for a decade and gotten nowhere.

Miami and Philbin brought in the NFL and NFLPA as soon as possible to investigate this matter objectively. As soon as they heard the racial voicemails, boom suspension. I'm sorry, but Philbin is handling this as he should. Swiftly and correctly. It's not surprising, look at the Chad situation. Expect Cogs cut soon and this team to move on from this cancer. If anything Philbin will use this chance to stand a line against conduct detrimental to this team.

If we do need a coach, the only coach out there that will bring respect with him is Cowher. I doubt if he would even consider this job, but he is the man for this team.
