Payton is coming to Miami

What Reggie Wayne was saying yesterday, plus what Marshall Faulk is saying today....all points Miami.
Only media hacks are talking about AZ, NY, TX, Denver......because they want to get rating.

What people are saying doesnt mean squat, he is going to choose based on how ready the team is to contend, you go AFC East, you deal with the Pats, you go NFC West, you have the 9ers. He is going to look at all the schemes in place. Who would he want as a coach more? Philbin the rookie? Or Wisenhunt the vet coach?

Are you hoping he goes to ny? I've seen jets fans that are adamant on both sides.

Not this Jets fan, i went through this with Favre, he was great for 11 games and got hurt. Not saying that will happen to Manning. If the Jets offer him a contract, its going to ruin little Miss Sanchez's mindset and force us to trade him for a bag of balls. Im writing off next season, stick with Sanchez, get a reliable backup like Campbell and then look for our future QB in the next draft.

You don't understand the Manning family.

And Philbin of cause....Manning does not need anymore coaching. He needs a coach listen to him.

I just spoke to my good friend Marlon Greenwood who is heavy in the Dolphins locker room and still is friends with a lot of the guys and he told me Manning is only going to play for Dolphins and he wants a 4-5 year deal. If Ross makes it happen hes on board. I can gurantee it to be true he said and I quote. "So did you hear, Peyton is going to sign with us, he wants 100 mil 4-5 years, and he is on board" He didn't tell me exactly who he spoke to on the team. He also said Reggie will be joining the team also. "Manning said he has to have Reggie".
That's an awful lot of $$ for someone that was ready to play for an incentive based deal a few days ago...

The difference is that while he could go to a weak (save San Fran) NFC West division and battle Harbaugh's 9ers for the title the next few years, I think he would prefer the AFCE. The reasoning is Manning is a smart guy; he is not looking to get to the HOF, he's a first ballot already. He is looking to cement his place in NFL history, and cast his argument as the best QB ever. In the AFCE he has the Jedi QB battle with Brady twice a year. Right now Manning is 5-8 against Brady; in two years with the Dolphins, he could be 9-8 vs. Brady with a second SuperBowl victory, all while leading a storied franchise back to glory.

That is the stuff legends are made of.

That is why the Dolphins are the right choice for Manning.

And you do? If they had their way Peyton would be playing in NO. You cant even spell your "Sources" name correctly. Waiting for a link...
Its been well known that Eli picked Giants over SD because he did not want to be in the same conference with Peyton.
I do not known Manning family personally, but I do follow NFL closer than you, base on the fact that you did not know about why Eli wanted to go to NFC.

You can listen to Marshall Faulk on WQAM interview archive.

I see what you are saying, but not a lot of people remember that he played in the AFC East before, he knows what its like to play in those cities, it could play in his decision.

True and I am glad that he and the colts left the division when they did. It would have been a nightmare with him and Brady.
