If the colts get Luck do you think they trade Manning? If so do you all think he still has anything left? If you were GM would you take a shot on him?

Part of me says colts don't get rid of Manning but having luck and him is a crazy amount of money for 2 qb's.

im hoping Indy or St Louis winds up worse than us if we are not the worst. i am not sure about INdy but i know st. louis is not drafting a qb. i just really hope indy doesnt get any ideas. man they suck though . . im now getting killed in fantasy b/c my opponent has both rothlisberger and wallace.

Yup, take on his bloated salary only to watch Jake Long get torched by a speed rusher, Columbo get torched by any person in pads opposite him or Carey falling down and getting hurt while allowing someone to get to Manning...all of the above culminating into mega million dollar bookend being carted off the field?

I would mention Incognito but he holds onto his opposing player so they can't get to Manning...

I thought about this earlier in the week, figuring that it would be just our luck we are never lucky enough to fall as low as we need to to get the best out of the draft (skill position wise). But someone like the Colts will get luck and be in the SB in one year or so. Man the way I see it we give up what we need to, and get this guy.....but now Henne is starting to see the light, maybe it's bright in the end maybe not.

They keep Manning to Groom Luck.

Luck will have a rookie contract, isn't going to cost that much and it's worth it if you value the future of your franchise.

No way they get rid of him. Look at the Sunday night game tonight. Mannings up in the coaches box helping call plays for Collins. He's much to valuable. Im sure he would take another pay cut to stay with the team and ending his carrer there.

if the colts get the #1 they will take luck, no question. then the will pull a farve and rodgers.

Yup. You guys can keep dreaming if you think some team is just going to trade us a hall of fame QB. We had our shot with Brees and Saban ****ed it up.

i think the colts would be in a tough spot.

i know people are saying, well they can draft luck and groom him under manning. ok fine.

heres the thing though. assuming manning recovers and all is well after this, manning can easily want to play for another 5 years into his 40's, again assuming his recovery goes as planned.

with a guy like manning, as long as he is putting up productive numbers, their is no way the colts say to him,'' we are moving on to luck, u can either be the backup, or retire''. he will get to leave on his own terms

so what do u do if manning does want to play another 5 years, assuming hes healthy. your not going to make andrew luck sit for 5 years. 1 or 2, ok, 5 that would be a little much.

i dont know, i dont think the colts are in that simple of a situation if it should come.

Manning's situation is serious. There's a good chance he might never play again. They probably won't know until training camp next year. If the Colts get the #1 pick they're going to go into next season with both guys. Peyton Manning is not going to be a Dolphin.

never said he was going to be a dolphin.

what i said was, depending on how serious it is, assuming he is cleared to play and all is good, peyton can easily decide he wants to play into his 40's. what im saying is if he does that, the colts are not going to disrespect him and push him out. that would leave the possibility that luck may be on their bench for not just 1-2 years, but 4-5 years.

they may not feel that, despite how good he will be, to take him and have him sit on their bench assuming peytons healthy.

Manning is great, but he is so deeply ingrained in that system that has been built up in Indy that to take him out of it at 35 coming off a serious neck issue seems the perfect recipe for disaster. Also the idea of a healthy Manning starting for Indy next year while Luck is being groomed on the bench makes me want to vomit.

Do you guys think Miami will get rid of Marino? That Scott Mitchell guy is playing pretty well.

no doubt they would take luck. but they are not a two win team even with old man collins at QB. they may win tonight.
