I just dont understand this statement.

Sammy Morris has been the most impressive back so far. He's hitting the hole with quickness and strength. The only thing Morris lacks is durability.

He was one of the most durable backs last year,

The Madison quote was hilarious, as was the bit about the players getting on Saban for not wearing the blue jacket. This tells me that while Sabn is hardnosed, the players like him and have fun with him at times.

He has a history of injury prior to coming to the Phins. Sort of a Rob Konrad - like continuing limitation of one sort or another.

Dude, I almost lost all respect for Bedard when I saw that he said Sammy Morris has been the best back out there.

I think he was a steal.Very fluid great moves. He hasnt been injury prone with the Dolphins.

Now that Konrad is gone I would worry more about Gordon,Boston being injury prone.

Oh, I agree with the first comment. I've said, repeatedly, I think the guy could be a 1,200 - 1,350 yard back, IF he could stay healthy. He was out a week or two with us, this year, wasn't he? I know he was out a bit and continually nicked at Buff.

Agree with the fact he looks impressive. The practice I went to...well and all practices everyone keeps talking about how good ricky looks and how he is the ricky of old, but if your really trying to be objectional, Morris has looked better than Ricky has. But obviously its not as exited to report that than it is to report Ricky being the man and can do no wronge.

I know it doesnt matter very much but he was the leading rusher last year in attempts and yards. He was more durable than the other guys.:)

here is an interesting stat

Ricky 03 3.5 yards a carry
Sammy 04 4.0 yards a carry with what I think most would aree was a worse oline. Meaning if he got the same amount of carries on 04 as Ricky got in 03 he would have had 1568 yards compared to Rickys 1372. Not trying to say sammy is better just trying to give some perspective.

Yes...sometimes numbers do lie! sammy is a slow, average running back at best. Ricky will be in probowl form again soon, sammy never will. Thats why we want to be hearing about Ricky.;)

Maybe the D-line was so busy blowing by the offensive linemen that they overran the draw.

Maybe the O-line was better at run blocking than the O-line from Ricky's last season? We know they couldn't pass block to save their lives...

Maybe most of the longer runs came when the defense was expecting pass on third and 8 while Dave thinking, ".... run for 7 more yards and we can pin them back in their own end with a good punt.... I'm a genus!"

And to add to that: The Palm Beach Post has been saying all week that Williams is by far performing the best out there, then they contradict themselves with that statement by saying today that Morris has been the most impressive all week.
