PBP Training Camp Blog, Pt II

• Maybe Ted Ginn doesn’t run the most precise routes or needs to improve his ability to evade the CB jam at the line … who knows. But he is a smooth, sure-handed receiver who’s going to contribute as more than a returner.
It’s a lot easier to teach a guy with 4.3 speed to square off his routes than a QB with decision-making concerns, like Brady Quinn, to decipher Bill Bellichick’s latest defensive twist.
I like reading that! Haha.

Good words for L. Booker too. He is sounding good!

I really like these parts of the camp report:

"If Fields can get the basics out of the way and focus on punting, he’s going to be a weapon. The guy’s leg is phenomenal. He just hit a booming spiral 70 yards in the air and made it look easy."

I think Ted is going to make a lot of defensive coordinators out there get very jumpy when they see #19 run out on the field as a receiver this year.

Looks like Lorenzo is starting to make Channing look a little silly in those footraces he talked about in one of his interviews. Wuz up Channing? Channing better work on that agility and quickness if he wants to get himself to a Pro Bowl like his fellow LBs have. Glad to hear that Lorenzo could be a real secret weapon for us this year ... a la Reggie Bush and the way he was used with the Saints.

"Booker left Channing Crowder in the dust. To get open on one play, he juked back-up Derrick Pope so bad the crowd let out a collective “ooohh.â€Â
It’s hard to expect a lot of production from the 195-pound Booker in the running game. Hey, Reggie Bush couldn’t run the ball consistently as a rookie in New Orleans."
