No its ok I wasn't getting on you or anything. Just letting you know that this thread might sink to the bottom of the board because people probably will talk about the merits of Peerless in another thread.
Actually everyone says Perry had a great year this year. And we're about to replace Ruddy with someone the coaches think is better, and if not well, we've still got him.
Mark Dixon is as good as ours if we want him back. Thats a LT or a LG, whichever we want.
So in fact, Wade, Perry, Ruddy, and McKinney are our only OL under contract. And if I had to go into battle with those four starting at RT, RG, C, and LG respectively, with a free agent LT, well, I'd be pretty confident.
Clumped we are cutting Tim Ruddy or at the very least forcing him to renegotiate because the team does feel he's ready to start. From what we've seen of him in preseason and the few games he started he looked like a promising guy and the coaches love him. Mark Dixon will be back and can play LT or guard. Wade is right there and so is Perry.
Yes we would like to get younger on the line but with Wade/McKinney 2/5ths of our line is young and we can always draft the next couple years for young OL. This line did play tough this year.
You can have peerless price. He is going to be a bust as a #1. He will find out it is a lot more difficult getting open when double teamed most every play.
He would be # 2...Chambers is our # 1 guy. Also Jamie Nails will be back in June-July and will have a month's worth of time to get back in there. The FINS would probably play him more than usualy during preseason to get him going.
