Peezy 2nd dirtiest player in the NFL

If Hines Ward's the dirtiest player in the NFL to their standards I have no care for that list.

As much as we like to diss the lists the networks and writers come up with, this is a poll of 296 players, so it does carry some weight. And Hines Ward is well-known as a very dirty player.

hines ward is a football player plain and simple he plays the game like it should be played.
 
I call BS on this. He is dirtier than Wilfork?
 
No player is dirtier than Mark Sanchez.
 
hines ward is far from dirty. i think he is who people should look up to as wat the game should be played like. he is a tough guy who blocks the right way and i dont see anything dirty about him. if u want to talk dirty, how bout flozell adams on the cowboys, who in 1 game tried to take 2 giants players out. now thats dirty. i dont see anything that joey porter does which is dirty. he may talk a lot but thats far from dirty.
 
Why is Hines Ward a dirty player? Because he hits hard? That is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. And... I wouldn't call Joey a dirty player by any means. I feel that dirty would be breaking the rules often... i.e. Cheap shots. Joey just talks trash. Unless I'm missing something.
 
I think this just highlights the differences between what the fans see and label as "dirty" versus the players themselves.

A player who makes a living off of blocking you while you're not looking, pushing off just right so as to not draw a flag, etc. is going to get called "dirty" by more of his opponents than the guy who, in one game, tried to make an illegal hit or whatever. Players are going to call "dirty" the things that annoy them, the things that aren't called as penalties because the perpetrator is too clever, etc. It's the stuff that happens in the trenches, in the heat of the moment - the stuff we never hear or see much of. JMHO.

For a WR to get as many penalties and fines for his behaviour on the field as Ward does says it all.

Did you see the hit he put on Keith Rivers last year?
