Penn State humiliated Illinois tonight 63-10. I was worried they would be down after that lucky win by Michigan last week, but they got right back on track and the Big Ten title is in sight.

Robinson had SIX total touchdowns and played only one half. The score was 28-3 at the end of the first quarter and 56-3 at halftime. Penn State went easy on the Fighting Illini in the second half by running on every down. Not ONE pass in the second half.

WE ARE.....................PENN STATE! :D

You have to love the job Joe Pa is doing plus Michael Robinson is finally playing up to his talent. Their gonna be a contender for the National Championship next year IMO. I would love to see Joe Pa win the whole thing and then retire!

I tend to doubt they will be playing for the national championship next year. Robinson is a senior and he is what makes the offense work. It is also possible that they could lose 9 or 10 starters on defense.

joepa isnt doing anything anymore. He is more of a head figure on the sidelines. IMO he is just there to keep the alumni who donate millions each year happy and to be a figurehead for recruiting. If you watch him in interviews, I wonder if he knows where he is half the time. Im pretty sure Galen and Tom Bradley are calling all the plays now.....

Not quite the gauge it looks like. Michigan St. beat Illinois on their turf 71-7, and they haven't won since.

Actually MSU beat Illinois 64-14. Anways, the big point is that in past years after suffering a heartbreaking loss(like the Michigan one) PSU usually just folds up and goes on a few game losing streak. This win against Illinois was a big momentum builder.

Also, see you guys on the 19th of November.

Which also happens to be my 21st birthday. What a great B-day present that would be. A Big Ten title. :D

The important stat was it was what, 56-3 at halftime?

PSU could have EASILY put up 100 points on them. You pull players so players dont get hurt. You wanna gauge something, gauge that. They had their entire second and third stringers in during the second half. They were purposely trying NOT to score in Illinois. JoePa isnt one for running up scores.

Just look at the fact that after Robinson went out they passed the ball twice. And in the second half, every offensive play they ran was a run.

Eh, my bad. And I feel your pain on that whole heartbreaking loss thing. Try being a Michigan State fan. There's at least 2 of those every year. As for the 19th, happy birthday (just had my 18th friday, and it was a good one). But I'm sorry to tell you this: If Stephon Wheeler is in Spartans take it. Otherwise, we have to get the line figured out. We will see.

EDIT: And MSU also played their 2nd's and 3rd's in the last quarter and a half.
