This is hands down the best QBing since #13 retired.... for all who have bashed Pennington about his inability to get the ball downfield he has proven that he is able to do so, and i think we'll see more of Ginn in the next few games..... Penny's efficiency, pass yards and yards per attempt are up there with the best in the league...

Really not sure how anyone could argue right now that Henne would be the better option

I'm sure they will find ways... Agree with everything you have said... Let's just sit back and enoy some solid QB play for a change...

Ginn really responded and deserves some real credit as well.

I 100% agree, however you will hear "the pass was short" "Penny threw as hard as he could" "Ginn had to slow down" and whatever else they can say to prove there point. But the point is at the end of this week he will be one of the top 8, if not top 5 QBs in the league in ratings. Scrub QBs dont do that.

They can argue that Henne should be the QB all they want...I don't think the coaches are listening to them much at this point...

Pennington had a gread game today...period!!!:hi5:

This offense would not be able to do what it has done without Penningyton. He has been arguably one of the best additions to this team in years. I am still just so amazed that the Jets threw him to the curb and we got him for no compensation. Henne will get his time, but he will just have to hang tight as long as Pennington keeps playing at this high level.

Yep, already hearing some of this... some guys really don't know how tough it is to play QB in this league... sometimes some of the underthrown balls are to ensure completions and some of the best throws a QB can make.... Sure Penny ain't gonna throw it out of the park, but I think this arm strength thing is blown way outta proportion

Just something else for the neighsayers to NOODLE ON.

Get real already. And can we please put to rest the whole Ginns lack of production is because of Pennington BS. If Ginn gets open and gets seperation, Pennington can and will hit him. For big gains. For deep balls too.

NOODLE ON THAT you "defenses will stack the box on us" Pennington sleepers.

Those things are all actually true. It still doesn't mean you put Henne in now. Pennington has done absolutely nothing to call for him being benched. Penny has played extremely well and gives us a chance to win every game. Great game CP. Now let's go beat the Broncos.

he has been really solid...and i thought he aired out the ball pretty good today...finally a reliable QB in Miami

Omg what a world it would be!!!! Gumdrops growing on trees... Rivers of strawberry Jam... Santa Claus would be real... And the current economic crisis would be... Ok welll nothing is gonna stop that...

But man I dream of a day without this argument... :hi5:

And yet I fear... it will rear its ugly head... But maybe we will have peace for one day!!!

Good post!

Hey, I don't mind being the ney sayer here. Yes great win, we finally hit some deep ones pretty or not. We owe a lot of this win to the D, big int's, a safety, and a couple of caused fumbles. This is the roller coaster ride of a .500 QB, get use to the ups and downs and the 1 for 27 in 3rd and 7 or more. We would have lost again if not for the D.

While they are true there are many variables that come into play... like I said before many QBs will underthrow a deep ball to ensure the completion.... this stuff really has nothing to do with Penny's arm strength, which is average and adequate for NFL QBs

Good post

We would have lost again if not for the D.

The same could be said of virtually every quarterback that's ever played this game.

Pennington did his job and then some, putting the offense in position to score enough points to win this game (defense only scored 2 points today if I'm not mistaken).

Most of the folks on this board recognize your responses as little more than desperate attempt to dig up what little bits of statistical and anecdotal evidence are available to try and somehow uphold your anti-Pennington stance.

It's cool, though. You stick go ahead and stick to your guns.

For the record, I hope I am wrong and Penny takes us all the way, but his many years in the league just don't support that, and his season this year is a blue print of his whole career. Great stats, .500 record.

Chad Pennington is clearly the top difference maker for the Dolphins vs. last years team. He's filling one of the biggest holes on the team ... a hole we've had for years ... since Marino really. It is just a RELIEF not to have to be all worried about the QB screwing something up all the time.

Chad may not have the best arm in the NFL but he doesn't make too many mistakes either. He's a smart QB. Us Dolphins fans will take it. We're tired of seeing QBs make costly mistakes that lose us games. Maybe he'll blow everyone's minds this year and get some real good chemistry with Ted Ginn and get a bunch of deep ball touchdowns this year. Let's hope so. I wouldn't be too surprised if he did. I hear Chad has been working his butt off in the past year to get to his highest levels physically and all that.
