It really amazes at how prepared Chad is going into these games. He really makes up for his weak arm by doing everything else great.

“He’s brought stability to that offense. People don’t talk about it, but it’s what he does during the week, what he says in the huddle. He talks to these guys about what’s he thinking, what he’s seeing, what he’s going to get to.
“He talks about, ‘If I get this, I’m going to get to this audible. If I get this, I’m going to throw a quick slant to you.’ He tells these guys before it happens what may happen because of what he does during the week.
“It cuts down on the mistakes. It cuts down on the penalties. Guys aren’t dropping balls because they’re not surprised. They’re anticipating. The other thing is he’s very good decision-maker. He doesn’t make many poor decisions.”

i really like penny.. i hate how ppl have really been thinkin about henne.. i mean im all for henne when he is ready, but penny has been a blessing and i hope he can start for us the rest of this year and hopefully the next.. and so long as he keeps playing mistake free and manages the game i dont see why they should bench him

i liked the 60 yrd pass he opened upthe game with. weak arm huh?

I have to admit at first I was a little unsure of the Penny move. At this point I am really happy that we made the move for these reasons.
1. He is teaching the young Qb's the right way to play. Even though all may not help us directly they may attract draft picks down the line.
2. He takes the pressure of our young O-line letting the develop the ever important confidence at cohesiveness that makes great Units possible.
3. Helps our defense by controlling our Offense and making their play more well rounded. Isnt it nice that some teams do have to pass on us instead of just run it down our throats due to a huge early lead.
4. Creating a winning Atmosphere that has been missing the last couple of years. Winning and Losing are habits. And Winning lets you know what Losing really is. This will create a young core that is trained and tought to win.

well if my memory serves me right,he was the only QB the Jets had who consistently beat us,so for that particular reason,i'm glad he's a Fin..also,he's a QB that Henne can learn how to avoid mistakes,or keep them at a minimum, plus his leadership, confidence, and the way he seems to carry himself translates into the rest of the offense&team...

I was very upset when we signed Penny, I thought he was not going to preform well here because of past injurys. And I will be the first to admit I was wrong, buy after going to Jacksonville and see him play in person I was really impressed. Even though it was only preseason, the offense looked sharp. Penny makes the entire offense better. He is the best QB we have had since Marino left, and that is the main reason we are at least going to be in the playoff chase. With another solid draft and Penny coming back healty we will go very far in the playoffs next. This is the most optimistic I have been about the Dolphins in years.

In addition to the above points, there is one aspect to Penny's game that is often overlooked: he puts the ball in the right spot for the WR to catch it in stride and make YAC. He excels in that area and that's why his YPC and YPA rank among the best.
