Pennington signing .........weird

Does anyone else feel weird that all of a sudden we are now left cheering for one of our most hated rivals Qb?I was looking forward to the guys we had hoping we would create our own identity. I never really liked that whole Thurman Thomas thing. It doesn't seem quite as bad for a supporting player like Sean Ryan but Pennington it's like we signed Tom Brady. I don't really care for it.I guess I'm just in shock from it. How do you guys feel?

I can push aside my dislike for Pennington, because he gives the team a better option at quarterback than Chainsaw Charlie ever did.

I just don't like pennington, he is basically a glorified running back only giving us 5 to 7 yards a pass.

2 things...

First off, I was out all last night, and I got home pretty late. My roommate was sitting on the couch and by his facial expression, something didn't go right. When he told me about Noodle Arm, I INSTANTLY felt dirty. I awoke this morning to feel sick to my stomach, whether it was due to the Alcohol or Pennington will remain a mystery. Even though I feel it was the ladder.

Secondly, it's not like we just signed Tom Brady. Tom Brady is actually good. I hate him just as much as I hate Chad, if not MORE! But I'd be pumped if we had a Tom Brady caliber player at our helm. But we don't we have the BIONIC ARM! I hate all players from our rivals, and don't welcome them on our team in most cases. This is the way I see it, if we STOLE brady some how, that hurts New England and helps us. We get Pennington it hurts US and helps the JETS!

I dunno, he's a vet guys. I hope it helps, but it was the LAST thing I ever wanted to see happen. But I'm not the Tuna. So i'll shut my mouth and hope it works out.

I wish we could have landed an even better player at QB. Pennington is OK, it's getting late in his career now, hopefully he can play injury free football for the next couple years until we develop a younger QB to be the future.

but still to me Chad was the laughing stock of the Jets, if I was making fun of the team, or a fan. 99% of the time I started the ripping with Pennington jokes. I HATED HIM! It's gonna be hard to go ape **** over him.

He beat us 7 out of the 8 times we played throwing his little "5-7 yard" passes. And I can seem to remember Laverneous and even Santana running some successful deep routes against us. Our offensive line and running game will make it a lot easier to throw this year. Bottom line.

I never liked him when he played for the Jets, but if he brings something good to the table, I'll be able to look past it.
