Pennington to the Jets?

This is why I will always respect Penny:

But, again, the Jets? Pennington admitted he couldn't bring himself to root for the Jets in the AFC Championship Game.
"When you're a Dolphin," he said, "Dolphins and Jets don't go together."

Smart man.

He also had to have some bitterness as well seeing a team that he could have been a part of reach the title game. That is what i would expect most guys to say but remember he was a Jet alot longer than he has been a dolphin. he'll always be a Jet.

Who says the Jets are in that same position in any other situation?

i don't want to sound rude but why do you have 13,000 posts on a dolphins website?? are you a fan of the dolphins also? it just doesn't make too much sense to me.

I seen an interview where Penny said he was mad at the Jets the first game of the year and it was him with the gloves off so to speak...He wanted to crush the Jets..

Last game of the year however against the Jets was all buissness...Chad is too glassy to be bitter toward the Jets..

He is just a Dolphin right now...He was our leader and respected our coaches and FO...and they respect him

He will never go back to Ny ..IMO he has nothign to be bitter about, When he was our Qb we owned them( 1 and 1) (I know Junc).. He got his revenge ...and it was quality revenge...

I don't know. The way Pennington was unceremoiously dumped by the Jets for Favre, I don't think Chad feels the same way.

His feelings were hurt as they should have been but he'll get over that and when he looks back and most of his best moments(inlcuding the best moments) of his career were as a Jet he'll think more fondly of us.

I think that article if true speaks pretty loud and clear that he is being political about his situation... Keeping his options open. He is just too classy to flip off the NYJ's.

Clearly he did not like how things ended with the Jets and has said so on many occasions... Including this article. No question he stays with us if the offer is the same... It is more an issue of whether our FO wants him.

I think one thing that has been overlooked in this argument is the change in his mindset... He has clearly made the switch in his mind that the career is winding down... Countless hours/days/months in rehab will do that to you...

Also family is first for the classy Penny and if his family is happy in Miami... (All signs point to yes) This would have a profound effect on his decision... Right now it is up to the Phins... For my part I say sign the man, keep him in the system... QB coach next year when David Lee gets promoted to OC... lol.
