Not as a starter. I'd like to see him back as a backup but only if he comes back relatively cheap since no teams have interest in him, which is possible.

Browns, Chiefs, might be a few other teams who may find interest in him as a starter, or at least offer him a competition. See what happens, he may hesitate becoming a backup unless that's the only choice he has.

I could see him in Oakland, but they're obsessed with that deep passing game, so I don't know.

KC, probably not because of Cassel.

Cleveland...possibly, depends on how Derek Anderson goes the rest of the season.

Maybe Carolina?

I bet it's the Rams, This is Bulgers last season, they'll have a top 5 pick. They will grab a big name qb, Bradford Clausen or Snead, but Pennington should go into camp with them, and he'll probably win the job.
The Browns too, I doubt Mangini wants Quinn or Anderson, they'll be in the same situation as rams but will get a top 10 pick.

I'd love to see him go to Carolina, Delhomme sucks, at least Pennington could control that ground game and not turn it over. Plus He'd have a chance to go to the playoffs..

I just want to see him having fun again, love that guy.

Depends on how Henne and White develop. I hope we can not have to worry about QBs next year but you never know.

I think Thigpen is a quality backup, at a better age/price. If Henne doesn't start learning to look off safeties Thigpen could be the starter by the end of the year.

I'm not sure I want him as a back up anymore.........If Henne is the real deal, I like White and Thigpen as backup because of there age and both have better arms.

He will not be back if he wants to start.

If he wants to backup Henne or become our quarterbacks coach after we fire Dan Henning and promote David Lee, then bring it on

Says he should start throwing again in 8-12 weeks. So..de we bring him back next season? If Henne plays well, he could be an amazing backup, unless he wants to be a starter somewhere else. I'm sure there are plenty of teams who would want him to try ant turn them around also.[chiefs, raiders, etc.]

He can do what ever he wants i will back him up 100%. Now if he stays and become a back up and teacher for henne he deserves to have his number retired with us and forever dolphin.

No way in hell he is the starter in Miami ever again. Good luck to Chad on another football team.

Don't count him out as a Dolphin just yet. Henne has a 12 game audition left for the chance to be the man next season. If he flops, Penny resigns here and competes w/ Henne next summer. If Henne earns the job, Penny will not come back here as a backup if he has the chance to go elsewhere and start. As far as Thigpen goes, he was signed to be the backup this season, and he will likely be gone next year.

Another intriging spot for him is Tennessee. Collins will be gone after this year, and Vince Young is, well, Vince Young. Penny is from Tennessee, so he would be going home in a sense.
