"Pennington, who was the NFL Comeback Player of the Year and tied for second for MVP, said he's not only going to continue the rugged offseason workout regimen he underwent last season with his private strength and conditioning coach Charles Petrone of Knoxville, but will ratchet it up a few notches."

Chad thinks it's one big reason for his sucess with the Dolphins.

"Pennington, whose contract expires following next season, said he has no plans to re-negotiate an extension.

"I've been in this league long enough to know to feel good about where I am right now and let that take care of itself,'' he said.'

That would be something if he could get his arm strength up, I'm not sure if that can happen at this point, but just imagine the most accurate QB in NFL history with a strong arm..

I think Chads leadship qualities alone make him a must re-sign. Talk about leading by example, we instantly became respectable with his locker room and huddle presence. I think Chad brings so much more to this team than just his game play. I know in his mind he'll always be a Jet, but the longer he remains in Miami the better it is for us.

Chad, maybe as much or more than anyone knows he needs to take care of himself. It's critical at this juncture of his career. Plus, he's definitly not asking somone to do offseason workouts and not doing them himself. He's always been about leadership.

I think another big part of his success here is the fact that he is with a team and fans that actually want him here. Especially having fans that don't cheer because he got carted off the field.

i say we re-negotiate his contract and change his title from "Starting Quarterback" to "Quarterbacks Coach" and David Lee will have to be moved to another coaching position. Sorry David.

I don't want Lee going anywhere... he's our future OC

I don't think Pennington will take the role as back up as long as he knows he has it in him to perform. But hopefully he'll stay apart of the Fins because it's been nothing but good things since he's came aboard.

Pennington has mentioned that he'll be fine playing the role of backup for us... he knows the time will come, and I believe he'd be more than happy to continue to groom Henne, as Warner was doing with Leinart (although that didn't turn out so well)

But unfortunately I don't see us keeping him around for the Henne era due to money, but who knows? Maybe he'll agree to restructure his contract.

Pennington is such a class act. He has honestly been a blessing to this team and its fanbase. I just want to thank you Chad! So i hope you read finheaven forums cuz THANKS FOR EVERYTHING MY MAN
